I thought you all might get a kick out of this story.
I received a very formal looking letter from The Disney Corporation today, not the usual DVC promotional material or confirmation letters. It was a letter of apology and a cheque for $29.32. Apparently while we were staying at the BCV's for 2 weeks at Christmas one of the charges that we made to our room was entered twice ( I know I should check more closely). The letter described that during a regular audit of customers bills they turned up this error and are refunding me the amount of the over charge, they also went on to thank us for being part of the DVC family.
I almost feel like framing it and showing it to all those people who ask "are you going to Disney AGAIN!!!!!"::MickeyMo

Not to create a huge thread about the customer service there and the many reasons about why we go back every year...(except this year due to 'addition to the family')........

But we were at WDW (VWL) in January.............Came home and everything was Hunky Dory..........Get a call in Mid March from the front desk at the WL telling me that we'd left some of our stuff behind.................Sweatshirt and sandals that belong to our 18 month old, along with a little photo album that we carry around for our little guy to look at when he gets bored.......They packed it up and mailed it to us..........we never would have realized these things were left behind, had it not been for the wonderful service.....................:hyper: :hyper: :hyper:
 
There was another thread, i think on the budget about the over charging and people getting checks in the mail from disney back in jan. and feb.
i also go over my bill in very deep detail, we were charge last feb 2003 for 100 twice for dinner at the calf. in the contemporary, i caught it right away and had to prove to the front desk using my reciept that i only ate there once on that day at that time, they should have showed me my signature on the second reciept. oh well.

we just got back and i had left my digital camera at the ohana rest. the next morning i got a phone call telling me i left my camera and inside was my dvc members card, :eek: they told me to come down to the front desk and pick it up, now keep in mind we didnt even know it was missing, little alone that my dvc card was in the case.......

i went down and the very nice cm told me that if my card was not in the camera case i would have a hard time proving that i own the camera, she said we just dont hand out expensive cameras out to anyone, i thanked her and walked away and when i opened the case i found the camera, my dvc card and a $20 dollar bill folded up inside, that i forgot i had put in there... now talk about honest cms , lets give them a hand !!!!!!!!!:wave2: :wave2: :wave: :wave: :wave2:
 

Upon our return from our February WDW trip, we received, both:

i) a check from Disney for an accidental double billing (I believe it was around $20); and

ii) my DS's (6yr's old) "wallet" with his room key and $7.50 (he had dropped it in DTD (I believe in the Once Upon a Toy store).

Both were mailed to us at no charge. Just gives you more reason to trust in the Disney experience!
 
We left two jackets in a closet at the VWL once. One call to housekeeping's very nice lost and found lady, and we had the jackets back in three days, at no charge. I love the service!
