Do you like the music from Grease?

I've just been listening to some of it.

I just bought the movie on DVD finally (Yay no more rewinding) and I promised my husband I would not sing along to every song if he watched it with me. He refused so I will be watching this weekend and singing at the top of my lungs.

I have the CD. I even when to see it when it came out again on the big screen for its 20th Anniversary. I just may have to get the DVD.

Love that movie! I remember watching it as a kid. Then I listened to the soundtrack when I was in college and realized how bad some of the lyrics were!! I wonder if my mom had any idea.

beth - LOL! Me too! It wasn't until I was older that I understood some of the lyrics. I don't think my mom understood them either or I don't think I would have had the record.

Pixie - I can relate, I used to daydream about getting on the bus in the black outfit that Sandy wears at the end. I had a crush on a neighbor boy and thought that might turn his head lol! I wasn't dumb or brave enough to go through with it though, thank god!!

Some songs on the CD are not good - some of the background ones that you never really pay attention to in the movie. Like the one It's Raining on Prom Night or something. I just want to fall asleep during that song!

The hand jive is one of my favorites!! Is it safe to the hand jive while you're driving? lol

I saw this movie a zillion times in the theater and a zillion times on VHS/TV/DVD.

Love it!

When the 20th Anniversary addition came out in theaters, my friend and I took my roommate at the time who had never seen it. She was so upset when the movie was over because she had identified with Sandy being so pure and sweet and couldn't believe that Sandy changed herself for Danny.



I still have my album somewhere and I think I may have even bought a CD version at some point.

Love it!!! I think I was in 4th grade when it came out. I begged and begged my mom to take me. She didn't want to, but my uncle said it wasn't so bad and the "bad" stuff would probably go over my head, so I got to go see it!

I went w/ my MIL to see the 20th anniversary!
