Gratuity 2008

I understand that gratuity is not longer included when you purchase the Disney Dining Plan. When I got in january 2008, we will ALWAYS have 6 or more people dining, to which they always tell you gratuity will be included, so how does that work exactly if we have the dining plan?

Just a little confused if someone can please clarify. I guess we are just charged the gratuity then???

When you dine, you will receive two bills, one for the meals, and one for the gratuities. The meals will be "paid" for with your credits, and the gratuities will be paid for either in cash, credit or room charge.

Any idea what they will do if less than 6? Bill 18% or something blank? Just wondering. By the way, can you say where you received the info on the 2 bills? Thanks!!

No idea about the less than 6 situation. I'd assume that if the server wants their tip, they'll be more than happy to run a room charge for you.
