We recently did the Grand Quest and had a lot of fun! They sure make you do some silly things, but hey...there's nothing wrong with grown adults acting like kids...especially when it comes to things of Disney. :-)

Does anyone have a copy of the Grand Quest that they have done with the questions and answers? I meant to keep my copy but it has been lost in the traveling. Even if you don't have a copy, does anyone remember what the questions and answers were? I have written down a few pieces here and there that I remember, but am missing some spots. I can give you my email address if you can scan it and send it to me.

Much appreciated!!

It's a scavenger hunt that you pick up from the hotel lobby. It all takes place at the hotel and at the end, you get a free Mickey cookie. Just something fun and different to do once in awhile.

How very fun. Is this done on an individual basis, you go at your own pace, or is it done more in a group type style? Get this at the front desk or is there another location that one would find these? And how do they know that you've found everything? Sorry for all of the questions but I haven't heard about this and I think my DD might really enjoy this. Thanks!

I'd like to know these too! Sounds like it could be, not only fun, but a good way to make friends for the park. Do you have to be a guest of GC or can anyone join?

We did it in a group of 4 and we weren't guests of the hotel (but we never mentioned to them we weren't guests). We just went up to the guest services desk (it's the smaller desk that's past where guests check in) and asked for the Grand Quest sheet. I'm not exactly sure what the desk is called, but it's the one that is to the right of the huge fireplace. They know you found or did everything because each you have to fill in answers and be interactive with staff. You just bring your filled in sheet once you are done. It only takes you to places in the hotel but it's a fun change of pace and a yummy cookie!

Thanks for this information. It sounds like such a fun little thing to do that is away from the craziness of being inside the parks. This is going to be the perfect little break one day or maybe even the day we arrive as I'm not sure I want to go into the parks for only a few hours (although, it's going to be really hard NOT to :woohoo:). Thanks again... I'm adding the info to my ever growing list of fun stuff for DLR.

About how long would it take a family of 4 (2 kids) to complete?

Oh this sounds like fun. :woohoo: Thanks for all the info. Adding to the list of things to do next month. :)

It took us maybe 15 minutes...and that's with us chatting quite awhile towards the end having fun at the front counter with the employees. But we didn't have kids with us. So just add some extra time since they may need some guidance.

I should mention we went pretty fast just because we're kind of a competitive group and are sad the D23 Scavenger Hunt isn't happening in Disneyland this year. Last year was SO FUN! Haha!

Thanks for this info. I have never heard about the Grand Quest before, however now thinking about it I do recall people every now and then running around the hotel and it appeared to me they were on a scavanger hunt. It must have been the GQ.

Perfect timing because DS1.5/DS5 and I are checking in tomorrow for a couple of days. It should be fun.

I'll remember to keep a copy of the GQ and post it here by Wednesday.

We did it several years ago (maybe 6 or 7?) and it was a lot of fun. We love scavenger hunts! When we went to the desk to turn in our papers and get our coupons for the cookies, they asked us to hang around the lobby for a bit. After about 10 minutes, the CMs came up to us with some balloons and an announcement to the whole lobby - we were being named the the GC Family of the Day! We got to go to the Concierge Suite for milk and cookies at bedtime that night. It was lots of fun and made for a good memory :-)

Here it is. If anyone wants the questions and answers I can post them tomorrow.

It took my kids (1 & 5) about 15 minutes to complete. It was pretty fun and the staff was great as usual.

Side note...On our check out day (today), a cast member asked if were lived locally. I said we did and he gave use a Guest Pass so we could shop at "Company D!" I have never been so we are off to Co. D tomorrow since they are closed on Tuesdays.
