Grand Gatherings and DVC??

Can anyone tell me if DVCers are eligible for the Grand Gatherings promotion, or is that strictly for those who purchase through WDTC?

Yep, DVC is eligible. What you do is when you make your DVC ressie, you tell MS you want to be a Grand Gathering. Then they are supposed to contact GG and get you a GG number and the phone number to call GG with anything you need.

Most of your questions should be answered on the official WDW website: click here for Magical Gatherings / Grand Gatherings website. To qualify as a Grand Gathering, you need 8 people aged 3 and up. From the website:

This means the more you gather, the more you can enjoy all kinds of special benefits, services and one-of-a-kind experiences we've created just for large parties like yours. We welcome kids of all ages, but only those aged 3 and up are considered part of the guest count.

I am glad to know that we qualify for magical gatherings---My family, parents, siblings, and their kids are going in Novewmber of 04. There will be 19 of us going. Staying at Beach Club.
