Has anyone done any of the grand gatherings, I'm most interested in International Storybook Dinner, at Epcot and The Safari Dinner at Animal Kingdom. I'm interested in what food was available. As I'm traveling with people, that like simple food. I would appreciate any input on the food at these events. Thanks! :flower:

We did the Storybook Dinner at Epcot. The Dinner was a little disapointing. There was a variety of food from Italian, German...etc.... and the standard kids food...chicken fingers, pbj and fries. THE DESSERT HOWEVER WAS FANTASTIC!!! The dessert in the VIP viewing area was out-of-this world. If it were not for the dessert I would have been upset at the price of the experience. Hope this helps. :earsboy:

Is it a regular buffet or family style? Can you tell me what some of the dishes were?
Thanks!

We did this in November; the menu is in my scrapbook.

The dishes were served family style.

Medley of wild greens tossed with balsamic vinaigrette dressing
Minted cucumber and tomato salad
Green bean and onion salad
Artesian breads and steamed cornbread served with olive oil and dukkah (spices)
Spit roasted tandori chicken w/ grilled pineapple
Pearl coucous laced with sweet basil essence
Berbere spice crusted prime rib from the rotisserie
Roasted yukon gold potatoes
Peri peri marinated grilled salmon filet
Tomatoes and preserved lemons
Bean fritters
Cape-Malay curried lamb stew
Jollof yellow rice
Saffron infused root veggies and cabbage
Mango atjar (relishy stuff)
Blatjang chutney "
Mixed dried fruit sambal "
Moroccan baklava
Glazed fruit salad
Chocolate cake

Children could also have chicken fingers and mac n cheese.

The food was good although the spices were unfamiliar to us.
