Grand Floridian Private dining?

I was wondering if anybody had used private dining for a group.

I posted a few days ago that we had wanted our wedding dinner at Narcoossees and that we are unsure if we will get it due to their new 12 and under group policy. I am struggling to get hold of anyone there due to time differences and I am working nights just now.

So I am looking into other options. I read on another website about private dining being available up to 40 and you can hire a suite to hold it in or the grand1 or a boat although it did not go into any great detail. and it mentioned about having menu choices from GF restaurants so I thought this may have been an option but when I called the number it was an automated menu and none of the choices included the suite option just the grand 1/boat but I would need to hire two boats.

I was just wondering if anyone had heard of anybody doing this as a group.

There will be 16 of us - 14 adults and 2 children.

We did it for my mom's birthday a few years ago.There were 7 adults and 2 kids.We had choice to order from any of the restaurants and we got some things from different ones.We had a private waiter that stayed the whole time.There was flowers on the table and a chocolate box for each couple.It was very lovely-we actually did it kind of last minute and they were already busy with other parties booked so we were actually kind of in the hallway near the balcony in the main building but we knew going in that is were we would be-they made it in a quite area and we were pretty much alone.I think at the time it cost my dad around 400. dollars and we had a cake too.It was a nice alternative to just going to a restaurant.

You should also check with your wedding planner as in the past there have been VERY strict rules on private dining through the GF for Escape brides as it circumvents having a Wishes wedding. I wouldn't want you to plan something only to find out it is against policy. Restaurants are different and you can book and wear your dress to any restaurant that is not in a theme park. You can have private dining on the Grand One Yacht, when you book the yacht they will give you the number/info/menus to place an order. As far as booking out a convention room or other location I don't think it is possible.

Thanks I contacted my planner a few days ago but got an out of office reply so just waiting for her to come back I wasnt really thinking a conference room or anything like an actual wishes wedding just a hotel room or somewhere with posh room service basically.
