Grand Floridian DVC Opening?

The only thing official from DVC is from the member website:
Villas in the works for Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
Disney Vacation Club is developing an estimated 147 villas as part of the previously announced expansion of Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.
Estimated to open in late 2013 near Disney's Wedding Pavilion, the resort's slated to become the 12th Disney Vacation Club property.
"We continually look for ways to expand Disney Vacation Club by creating resort experiences that our Members will love," said Claire Bilby, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Disney Vacation Club. "With the continued popularity of Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort, we are thrilled to offer our Members and Guests a new resort option along the monorail beam with easy access to the Magic Kingdom Park, as well as a variety of shopping, dining and recreation experiences."

We're hoping to stay there December 2014! I wish they would give us more news!

Are they planning on using the GF monorail station or are they building another new station ?

I highly doubt that they are building a new station. It would be nice if you could easily walk to the existing one!

We are hoping to stay there in May 2014!!!

A quick look on Google Maps shows it's maybe 500 ft to the monorail station. Perhaps double that from the very back of the building.

I just hope the points requirements for rooms isn't outrageous. I fully expect them to be higher than other resorts, but not outrageously higher. Certainly BLT points usage (excluding park view) is higher for a studio than OKW or SSR, but not more than 5 points a night I believe (without looking). I'm also curious as to the layout and how many rooms per category, and to what the categories will be. Surely all the rooms won't face the parkside. As much as I look forward to staying there someday, I'm just fine with BLT. I would never (as financially could never) pay the premium charge for GF points. I'm sure that there will be those that feel the difference for GF over any other resort is well worth it. I'm just not one of them.

I'm willing to bet they'll be in line with BLT for similar views and specifics.
