I've been trying (unsuccessfully) the search for any reviews of the GF Cafe for either lunch or dinner. If anyone has any comments or can let me know what their experience has been, I'd appreciate it.

We have a weekday during our Dec trip that needs a lunch or early dinner and we wanted to see some resort decorations anyway. We'll have a car so that isn't an issue and thought this might be a good place to try. DS liked the look of the children's menu so I thought I'd try to find out more about it.

Also, if anyone has another suggestion, let me know. That day we'll be doing AK for the latter part of the day since the EMH PM hours are in that park. Other places where we are dining on that trip are:
Mama Melrose, Tony's @ MK, Cape May, Le Cellier, YC Galley and maybe ESPN the 1st night.

TIA for your help!

We love GF Cafe and have lunch there almost every trip. We love the GF sandwich, cheeseburger, tilapia, French onion soup, chopped salad, shrimp dish, chicken salad and there used to be a Cuban sandwich which one son loved.

Parking at the GF is not easy unless you valet. I think it is easier to plan it on a day when you will be at the MK. Park at the TTC and do the monorail or even the launch if you will be at the MK first.

As for an early dinner, I'm not sure if it opens at 5 or 5:30 for dinner. We haven't had dinner there nearly as many times but it has always been excellent as well.

We have always liked it there....good food, and good service.. I have not been there for a bit though so I am glad someone else has a current review for you. :)

We just ate there last month for lunch and it was very, very good.

We had a delicioius chicken sandwich, French onion soup, and a great burger. We also had the chocolate fondue for dessert.

It has a pleasant atmosphere and friendly service.

Its a great place to go and eat lunch while you are at the Magic Kingdom. We just take the monorail over and have a wonderful, relaxing lunch, instead of eating fast food at the park.

Haven't eaten there for dinner, yet.

Enjoy!

Thanks for the info guys. :)

I called and made an ADR for a late lunch (1:40) and then we'll head over to AKL for the afternoon and evening. Looking forward to trying it for the 1st time. :)

We ate at Grand Floridian cafe last week and loved it! Please ask for IZZI (male). He was our server and he was wonderful!!!!!!!!! We loved him!

We went there on a whim and were seated right away - I don't know if that is the norm. They had a really good spinich dip as an appetizer. Izzi made some wonderful recommendations from the menu.

Has anyone been there for dinner recently?
We are planning to to to AK during the day, come back "home" to the Poly then take the monorail over to GF for a late dinner.
