Grand Floridian Alice in Wonderland Fireworks Viewing Party

Have been in line, waiting to buy desserts for 25 minutes, the line behind me has grown much, much longer.
The music playing is not upbeat, very mellow
So far, not great
A lot of bloggers and locals
I'll let you know how long it took me in total to get the goods

It took me 50 minutes to order only to be told that they ran out of the chesire cupcake and tiramisu tea cup. Had to wait for a butterflies in the forest
The line is at least an hour and a half and they just said that they have very limited desserts left
Hoping they fix this for the coming weeks

They have people in line for overpriced cupcakes and they ran out? I thought Disney planned better than that.

There's still a long line for the drinks, they didn't run out of that. They're refillimg it by bringing large buckets full of it, the green one is pretty interesting when they bring it out, it looks like green slime from nickelodeon

Here right now.
All 16 tea party seats are taken. I'm guessing the chairs were out here from early on.
The area is really small bit you can grab outdoor tables from gasparilla and enjoy the atmosphere
Taking pics and will post them tomorrow morning

I'm so glad you were able to make it tonight. I wonder if it wasn't busy in July because it seems like we just heard about it not too long ago? Maybe people didn't know about it. I can't wait to see your pics!

I imagine if it continues to be as busy as tonight was, they will start charging for the experience.

I also think it was never busy before because no one heard of it except maybe those staying at GF.

There were 2 speakers set up for wishes. The music was loud and clear. They put these speakers only for this event (at least that's what I was told)
The view was fine, off to the left of the castle. The view is much better from the Poly beach but having the speakers helped a lot.

here are the pics from last night. We arrived in the area around 7:30pm and all the chairs were taken so we basically sat on the ledges by the planters

the drinks

the hats, basically people would just put them on, take a pic and put them back on the table

the crowds

this is about the time I got in line, the line did grow to snake to the right

The view, off center but still a good view with the speakers on for music. My crappy phone camera can't take a decent fireworks pic from this far away

So we had the Butterflies in the Forest and the Mad Citrus Martini. Both were good but we liked the martini better. We wanted to get the chesire cat and the tiramisu but both were sold out by the time I got to order

Are the chairs and/or the ottomans padded, or plastic and they just look padded?

The desserts, though expensive, look very creative.

I might almost pay $10 for that Cheshire Cat cupcake. And I make fun of their dang expensive cupcakes all the time.

The chairs are cute. I assume they are plastic because they were left outside for the Mad T Party? I also suppose if they made them too comfy, people would never leave.

people set up camp basically. You could see who were locals that had heard about it. They came dressed up in Alice attire, some even Disney Bounding. Grabbed a couple of chairs, and stayed there all night.There were also, at least 3 bloggers that I know, who were there taking pics

Thanks for the posts. We will not be in WDW until end of October, but will definitely check out to see if this is still available. We have watched Wishes from this location many time so I hope they do not start charging for the location. I would definitely purchase one of those cupcake though and maybe a drink.

Sounds not much different from what I heard about the Mad T Party at DLR.
