WL continued:
We headed inside to explore the main lodge
Adventures by Disney tour group:
We headed in to the gift shop to do some more shopping. I found a shirt for DGS 2, and a Mickey and Minnie T for myself. Jim found a T-shirt, too!
So with almost an hour until our ADR time, Jim decided to play some games in the arcade, and I headed up to the lounge and got a nice glass of wine, which I took out to the front deck off the lobby. I had a wonderful relaxing time sitting in the big rocking chair sipping my wine. I met a really interesting older gentleman who was there for a yearly vacation with his children and grandchildren. I saw Firerock Geyser "erupt at any time" (at least the top of it behind the rocks).
Soon it was time to check in for the chaos that is WCC:
While chatting with the hostess, I casually mentioned to Jim that you had to yell alot and twirl your napkin in here - he said, "NOT ME!" The hostess made a note of it. We were seated out on a overflow area off the lobby - quiet area away from the excitement. I kept sneaking in to the restaurant to get pics of what was going on
Jim sitting happily in his corner
We got the skillet for two - this was easily our favorite dinner from the whole trip! We loved the location, the wine was wonderful, the dessert was to die for, or server was very attentive without being intrusive

Another family with 2 kids was seated at the table next to us. They didn't have ADRs, and didn't know what to expect, just had heard good things. We got to know them and really enjoyed our visit. The wife kept getting up and taking her kids in to enjoy the games. I felt bad that they weren't involved when they wanted to be. Even asking for ketchup got no response. I told them about the ketchup thing, so as we were leaving, the mom was standing near the back waiting for someone to need ketchup so they could bring theirs up. Well, I pointed to a table up front where this was going on, and she ran up with a big smile to take part in the ketchup ritual!
