*Graduation Celebration*~Taking the Rat to see the Mouse!

Thanks for the recommendation! I'll have to keep an eye out for that when we go. I'm not sure what Michael is looking for in a camera, he just asked me if I would go with him. I guess that means he will be open to anything.

That sounds like a lot of fun. I'd love to visit MoMA. We have an art museum in Boston but for some reason I never think to go there. That happens with a lot of things around here -- I always think that I'd like to go there, but I always forget about it. I swear that once the weather starts getting nicer, I am going to get out and about in Boston. Will you take lots of pictures and share them??

Oooh, and Little Mermaid on Broadway sounds awesome. I hope you get to it!

Ok, so I just logged on, visited a couple of other pages, hit the refresh button, and find that Meg just left me a message...We have to quit following each other! I am planning on taking a ton of photos and if I'm not completly crashing next week I plan on posting them. Funny thing, one of the cities up for consideration for our trip next year is BOSTON! I'm at work right now, so I guess I should get back to it.....ttyl!

I was following you around again?! What are the odds? :rotfl2: We must share a similar brain or something...

You should totally try for Boston! It's a lot of fun and it would be so fun if I could try to come out and meet you. There's a lot to see and do, too...definitely not as much as in NYC, but a good amount.

You are almost in the single digits!! And you can start saying that you're going to Disney World next week.

Its between Boston and Philadelphia.....So we'll see...I'm voting for Boston since I've never been...I can't seem to get overly excited about NYC since the whole time I'm there I'll be going "next week I'm in DISNEY!" :lmao:
Patrick is not so impressed that I'm not really excited about NYC...I just feel like I have way to much to get done in order to be ready for both trips...its starting to freak me out :scared1:

Oh well....off to a class how....ttyl!

:lmao: I would be the same if I was in your position -- I would not be able to get Disney out of my mind.

I was freaking out about getting things done just before ONE trip, so I can't imagine how you feel about getting ready for two. I was so excited but so anxious. I hope you get it all done!

Hope you had a good class, too...I am going out with Charles to pick up his contacts and to get a birthday present for his sister's birthday, which is today. What was funny was that I was the one who asked him last night what we were getting for her. Have a good day!

  :dance3: 10 DAYS!!!!:dance3:

The next time you have a report going and I don't realize it, just come and beat me over the head and tell me to come and join in.

Or send Megablocks to do it.

Either way, sorry I didn't pay attention to you having something new going on....

and now it's almost time for you to go! :dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

:welcome:

I just figured that you were busy, but would probably stop over when I got back and started the actual trip report....But now I have two readers :woohoo: unless there are more lurkers out there who would like to say hello? I can't promise many Disney updates until we get back, but I'm hoping to post our NYC trip when we get back next week.

Not like you need reminding or anything....

Single digit time!

:cool1:  :yay: :dance3: :woohoo: :cheer2: :cool1:

And, in two days, you can start playing the "this time next week" game. In nine days, I will be playing the "Where in the World is Katie?" game.

Hope you have a good day, and hope you aren't stressing too much about what needs to get done before your trips, even though I know it's hard NOT to.

:dance3:   :woohoo: :woohoo: :cool1: 9 DAYS!!!:woohoo: :woohoo:   :dance3:

Thanks for the single digit dance! I was tempted to put one up at 10pm last night :lmao: a couple of hours early! I just can't believe that we go to NYC the day after tomorrow, then we go to Disney a week from the day after tomorrow...

So aside from looking for the stuffed Eyeore (can's spell today!) any other requests?

~Katie

Nope. Thanks so much for looking out for them for me!

How long are you going to New York for? Just for the weekend or longer? And have you decided if you're going to your class on the day that you leave? I can't remember if you mentioned that or not.

We are in NYC from Friday morning until late Sunday night.....If I do go to my class it will probably only be for half of it. I have to talk to the professor next week to find out what we are doing. I'm already missing this Friday's class because of the NYC trip, but he's in our department and I'm the work study dept. secretary, so he doesn't really mind if I miss.

Edited: YAY FOR PAGE 3!!!

That's good that he won't be crazy about it -- I know that some can be. I haven't had any like that yet and hope that I won't. I actually rebelled and didn't go to my class on Monday. We were supposed to bring in our favorite kind of bread and I didn't realize that until it was almost time for me to leave, so I wouldn't have had time, and I'm already spending enough $$ on that class -- the book was over $100, and it's a curriculum class, so I have to "teach" my class once with an activity that I come up with. For that, I have to provide all the necessary supplies for the other 23 students. Luckily I don't have to do mine until April (on my birthday :headache: ) so I have enough time to come up with something that I hope will be cheap.

I just realized that you're leaving for NYC pretty soon. I totally didn't register that it is already Wednesday night. Hopefully you will get to share your pictures!

When you are gone, I will probably pop in to play the "where in the World will Katie be this time next week?" game that you will probably be playing in your head. :rotfl2:

We're following each other again :lmao: ....I was just over on your trip report! We leave the day after tomorrow for NYC! I might try to check in while we are there on Patrick's blackberry....I have made the decision to skip my early class tomorrow and sleep in...its a fairly pointless class and I feel like we never get anything done, so I'm going to sleep and prepare for NYC...and now I'm off to hurt whoever decided that laundry needs to dry for 75 MINUTES!!!! and has tied up the laundry room all night....I might be back later....

I KNOW! I was just over on MeMom's because I wanted to post something, but then I left my room, came back, and forgot what it was, and then I saw that you were the last one who had posted. :rotfl:

Sleeping in and preparing sounds so much better than going to class. That reminds me of my history class last semester. I went to almost every class but it just always felt like we never got anything done. Then, at the end of the semester, she was freaking out because she said that we hadn't covered nearly enough material.

Do you live in a dorm? That sounds like it could happen in a dorm OR a house full of people. :rotfl2:

Unfortunately I'm in the dorms...Patrick graduates this semester (hence the name of the trip report :lmao: ) and we will be getting an apartment....I will be so glad not to have to share so much space any more! So since I've been waiting to do laundry I thought I would search for you on Facebook and add you as a friend...I figured that there couldn't be that many Meghan's in Boston...I was wrong....500+ if you just search by the city :lmao: so I gave up and have been commenting on the laundry situation for the last hour...We are supposed to work in groups tomorrow, so I know it will be a wasted day. The instructor really isn't that good and she is super picky. She makes students go to the Learning Center (tutors) on campus if she feels that they need help....I'm being sent there because I accidentally used a plural pronoun when I should have used a singular....I didn't want to specify gender in a sentence so I used "their" instead of "his" or "her"....I've taken a ton of Lit courses (I finished my Lit minor last semester) and every single Lit professor that I had preferred the generalized terms in place of the gender specific....grrrrr.....She doesn't seem to realize that I'm too busy planning my Disney vacation to go to a tutor...

Ok, vent over....you can now return to your regularly scheduled programing

I had no idea there were so many with my name spelled that way in the Boston network either! I will PM you with my last name to make it easier, and you will know it's me if you search, because my profile picture is the one of me under the "will call" sign. :goodvibes

What the heck is wrong with using a generalized term?? :confused3 I've never heard of anyone having a problem with that, let alone sending someone to a tutor over it. I could think of many reasons to send someone to a tutor, but not that. That's just nitpicky. I don't think that's a word. :rotfl2: Maybe I need a tutor.

ETA: Just PMed you. :goodvibes

Oh boy! Don't go using words like nitpicky or you'll end up in tutoring with me! :lmao: I wouldn't have a problem with tutoring if I actually needed it, but when she handed back my paper with that word being the only thing she marked in red and told me that I had to see a tutor because I didn't know how to use pronouns I was seeing red :scared1:

I added you as a friend and even commented that had a I kept searching I would have been able to add you based on your pic alone :flower3:

Now I will have to search for a good profile pic....I tend to not like any of the pics I'm in, I'm a bit like MeMom, I prefer to be behind the camera, not in front!

Oh, I almost forgot

  :dance3: 8 DAYS TIL DISNEY!!!!:dance3:

Oh wow everything is so interesting. I am planning on taking my little sister to celebrate her high school graduation.

haha I got that as an alert on my phone and then couldn't find it when I logged in from my computer. :rotfl2: I did get the comment about the profs being out to get us. And I wouldn't have wanted you to search through 500+ tiny pictures, because if your luck is anything like mine, I would have been among the very last ones!

I still can't get over your prof sending you to a tutor over that. I'd be more concerned about sending people who have a hard time with the actual writing. I would have been so angry.

Awww I like your profile picture! How tall is Patrick? Charles is 6'5" but I've gotten so used to his height that he doesn't seem that tall to me anymore. His best friend is as tall as him, but has Marfan's (sp?) syndrome, where your bones stretch out, so he's really thin, and that makes him look REALLY tall, even when and Charles are side-by-side.

I have to find something to bring in for our group project for my non-existent class tonight. In my experience, trying to search for specific things in my school's online library catalogue is useless, so I might be forced to Google it, even though it's BAD. :rolleyes1

YAY 8 DAYS! :dance3: :woohoo:

Welcome! Thanks for joining! Meghan and I are trying to keep things interesting :thumbsup2 I think that any achievement is a good reason to go to DISNEY....especially with the "What will you celebrate" theme :goodvibes

Patrick is 6'4ish and I'm 5'4ish....so about a foot difference between us! He is also really skinny (whereas I'm short and more on the round side :lmao: )

Good luck finding something for your project! I have to do a presentation on something I love for the end of the semester for a class I'm taking....I think I'm going to do Disney!
