I just planned our May, 2011 trip. It will also be our DS high school graduation trip!! I am so excited!!!!:cloud9:

We also had our daughter's HS graduation trip there in May 2004.

She took her cap & gown, and we had the Disney photographers take photos in various locations around the parks of her in her cap & gown. It took a little nudging, but what better graduation pictures could she have?

We have an excellent one of the three of us in front of the castle.

We celebrated my graduation from nursing school just this past May. We stayed at the Beach Club and it was the perfect graduation present and it was also our first stay as DVC Members! I loved going in May - nice weather and not too crowded. Where are you staying?

Our DVC home is SSR, so I have reservations for a 2 bedroom there... we would love to get a 2 bedroom at BLT, so I will waitlist there when my window opens up. We have stayed at other resorts as non-DVC members, but we have only stayed at SSR since becoming owners.

We usually do the dining plan, but we were talking last night and I think we are going to really utilize the kitchen this trip. We have done almost every character meal, and have eaten at all the must do restaurants. I think I will just make reservations at a few of our favorites, Tusker House - breakfast, 50's Prime Time Cafe' - Dinner/Lunch, Epcot - Germany, etc...

I think planning is such a HUGE part of the magic!:cloud9::cloud9::cloud9:

Just celebrated 2 hs grads in June at WDW. It was so magical! Plus it was my sister-in-law and family's first time at WDW. They were so impressed with Kidani!

We did the grad trip to WDW with both your oldest daughters. They were able to bring a friend, which made it a really enjoyable time for them. It's alot more fun to ride the late rides with a friend when the parents want to check out shops and head back to the villa.

We did a double duty trip one year. My son graduated from HS and we let him take 3 friends and we stayed in a 2 br. My daughter got married that week, and we let her have her own 2 br. Quite a trip!

I love  planning our Disney vacations, but I have 300 days until our trip. I am trying to contain my excitement planning. I keep our "Disney Bag" packed - example: glow in dark things for the fireworks and night parades, hats, sunglasses, lanyards, etc... so I don't have to work about that stuff. And, it makes everything new again! I am also starting to look for graduation stuff on sale:)

we are taking DS for his graduation trip next year also. He has invited five friends to go, as of now they all say they can.
Planning to get a two bedroom and a studio, since two of the five are girls. I prefer them to have seperate sleeping quarters.

Have worked out most of the details already and sent an email to all with an estimate of the QSDP cost. We told them we will stock the fridge with breakfast items and snacks, and take them all out for a nice meal. The rest of the cost, QSDP and tickets are on them.

We have no plans to hang around with them, they can do do what they want on their own.
Also told DD we may take a friend along just for her so she doesn't have to hang with just old mom and dad.

Can't decide between SSR, OKW or BWV.
With SSR or OKW, the kids can easily take off to DTD at night if they want. With BWV they would have the Boardwalk entertainments...hmmm. What to do?

You know what's really funny:lmao:? DH and I just joined DVC in April, we have our first trip home planned for Dec.:santa: and we're already planning DD's Sweet 16:cake: Birthday trip for July 2012:yay:. I love the idea of planning a trip for 2014 after she graduates. The cap and gown pics

around the world are a great idea, might even save up for a personal

photo shoot. Thats what's so great about the Dis, you find great ideas

that you wouldn't necesarily think of yourself.:disrocks:

Have two trip ideas for the end of DD's Junior and Senior summers. Want to do California and Hawaii DVC (diving in Hawaii) and a trip to Europe. Don't know which one will be first. That is the plan, we will see if it happens. Saving pennies now because these may be the last few trips we take together for a while.

So far, I only have one other teenager coming with us... no one wants to give a firm answer this far out, but they don't know about planning Disney trips...:scared1:

We usually visit once a year, and I plan at least several months out...

We have an OKW GV for our June 2011 HS Grad trip. The two of us, our son and nine of his friends if they all can go.

DH and I are really leaning toward OKW, for all the space to spread out. Of course, then we can't book until Dec. It would be nice if we could get a Grand Villa, we have enough points certainly. But I doubt one would be available seven months out.

I could go ahead and book SSR now.
What to do, what to do?

Could combine a 18th Bday and bring the cap and gown to have a photo shoot and a Deluxe resort:rolleyes1

I am still waiting on a final answer from DS's best friend if he is coming with us....he really really wants to, but not sure if his parents will let him, yet...:confused3

I sure hope he can come with us...he is a good kid!:)

This is our deal - we will pay for rooms and travel to/from Disney World, and DS's friend will have to pay tickets and his food.

I know what you mean. Right now we have three girls and one other boy confirmed for our trip. They will be buying their own tickets and pay for their own park snacks/food/souveniers. We'll stock the refrigerator and provide transportation and overnight on the road to and from. We'll also provide one fun TS restaurant for everyone to eat together.

And if it turns out only to be three girls and one other guy, we'll have lots of room in the GV.

Just heard yesterday that two of the kids DS invited are thinking of not going. It is a boyfriend/girlfriend couple, and they are both two of DS's best friends.

The boy was going to pay for his girlfriend and himself and thinks my estimate of $650 per person is too much.
I don't know if I can get the price any lower for them.
We were going to buy the kids tickets thru MWR, so that is a big savings. And recommended the QSDP, that way they can come and go and eat as they please.
DH and I will be providing breakfast, drinks and snacks in the villa.
