45 min walk at lunch

It was definitely a Monday today. I was a lazy bum and didn't get up this morning to workout because I was going to kick tail at the gym tonight, plus a walk at lunch. Now my walk at lunch was not so successful. I took a nice fall trying to make room for somebody on a sidewalk and the sidewalk and ground weren't even. I twisted one ankle, scraped the other one up and they both HURT!! So taking it easy tonight but tonight only. Tomorrow is going to be me getting up early to do the workout.

Now tomorrow is going to be tough. I am not looking forward to certain aspects. It's DH's birthday (YEAH Happy Birthday Sweetheart) we were going to out for dinner and walk at lunch and workout in the morning. Not a problem but found out today that we are to have lunch with coworkers because a former coworker is moving away and this is the good luck, congratulations party for her. *sigh* so we are going to go out for lunch and then instead of a special birthday dinner we're going to go to the gym. I'm also supposed to get a cake to take to the office in honor of his b-day. I don't think I'm going to though, DH and I neither one want to eat any of it so why bother. I'll be on a bad wife list with somebody but oh well.

Ok I think that's me for now. I need to catch up on journals but not sure I will be able to tonight.

Sorry to hear you got hurt! Hope that is feeling better.

Who cares if you are on the bad wife list of someone else - you know DH doesn't want to have cake, and it is his b-day, so you are being a GOOD wife to him! And that is all that matters, right?!?

I hope your day is going good with all the temptations lurking around. You can get through it! :cheer2:

Good morning!

Hope you woke up with ankles feeling much better! Sounds painful...ouch!

Happy Birthday to your DH! :bday: Good luck to you in making it through the many tempations that today will hold for you. I know you can do it! :cheer2:

I hope your ankles are feeling better. That stinks!

So, how did DH's Bday go? I hope you had fun. I hope you made it through the co-worker luncheon too.

Happy Wednesday! :sunny: :sunny:

Well looking back on yesterday it was a good day.

b-cappucino shake
s-none since we were going out at lunch
l-olive garden soup salad breadsticks. I had two bowls of Toscana. The first bowl was all juice/broth whatever it is and the second bowl was all stuff. I had told the waiter that I wasn't on a liquid diet and would love to have my potatoes, greens, and sausage. He grinned and said he'd take care of it. Well he did, now if they had more stuff in bowl 1 there wouldn't have been a bowl 2. Oh well. Salad was very light of the dressing and had two breadsticks. I don't know what came over me with those. Oh well!
s-couldn't eat a bite
workouts: hubby and I went to the gym and got on the track so I could run. Well shoes and scraped ankles are not a good combination so we made it around the track three times and I had enough. I hurt!!! So we left got in the car to discuss dinner possibilities. Hubby wanted a hamburger so we went to a local joint that has the best burgers ever!
d-I got a grilled chicken sandwich, had less than one serving of friesand a half cup of pinto beans. I only ate half the bun. YUMMY!!!!!!!
s-was stuffed
Well after we got home I found a pair of shoes that wouldn't kill or rub against my ankle and so we went to the mall. While at the mall I saw Mario Mix (Dance Dance Revolution for Gamecube) and had to get it they were out but Target wasn't. :goodvibes Got home and of course had to try it out and got an hour in. It sure didn't seem like an hour but it was AWESOME!!! A definite addition to my workout routines. The best thing is you have to do it barefoot so nothing hits my ankle WHOOOO HOOOOOOO!

That's neat that you can exercise while playing a game at the same time! Hey, whatever it takes to keep active, right?

You showed excellent control at Olive Garden. Keep up the good work! :cool1:

sun-don'tk now yet but have a lot of excercise time planned right now. My ankle is improving and I can wear tennis shoes again so we'll be out and going. I see a 3.5 hour bike ride in my future. Am I nuts or what? :confused3 Hopefully it won't :umbrella:

travel with kids-Thanks for stopping by. I personally think it's a riot that I am working out for a couple of hours every day now. Well except for the majority of this week. :rolleyes1 in the past few years it has not been a normal characteristic. To me Dance Dance is a huge workout! I am dripping with sweat at the end and have to take drink breaks frequently (thank goodness for the mario story that goes on it gives me to time to get a sip of water) It is really a lot of fun to do. My next tv will have picture in picture so that I can play and watch tv. :) Oh the mario mix version of it also counts calories and I think it does a fairly good job of it. After my 3 hour marathon on it (I had another hour scattered throughout the day) but I was sore it is very aerobic activity.

Beth--you are doing so great..i always get motivated when i come read your journal--thank you for that :)
Have a GREAT week!!
