Fran is at home with her leg up. It hurts.

We are at the newly vacant apartment taking the cabinet doors off the kitchen. The contractors start here on Monday.

Tell her I hope she feels better. Sounds like fun. We are going to look at a half plex for rent today. It has an atrium....

Connor is sick, so I cancelled our morning plans. Being up with a sick baby all night is no bueno. I have a baby shower for my step sister-in-law that I have to go to soon though. Hope he does not get anyone sick or pick up extra germs with his weakened immune system.

good morning everyone... we are getting uo and heading to return the car... Today's high is 99 degrees... That is hot for us.

We plan on visiting casion's today....

Time fore breakfast..

I heard about the temp on the news and think I will wear shorts today. Hopefully, it is not too bad for you.

We have 4 bottles of water with us, but I will buy if need be... Thanks for all of the advice.. is the belligo where the gondola rides are? DH wants to ride one...:confused3

It is the Venetian, and it is a lot of fun.

If you like bacon and chocolate, inside Ceacars , inside through the front door of it there is a store that sells chocolate and bacon candy. YUMMY!!

That is Payard. While I have not had the bacon flavored one, the chocolate there is the best I've ever tasted.

Oh, my the bacon in the chocolate was killer. Yummy. I hope Connor feels better. I would be wearing shorts or at least a maxi dress.

Now, I need to try it. Thanks. I am going to cancel our evening plans too, so after the baby shower we can all relax (other than Crap who needs to watch the UFC). I do not watch any kind of fighting. I am not very girly. I rarely wear dresses (weddings, some formal occasions and sometimes to church). I have some small dresses from when I used to be thin, but I hardly ever wore them then.

By the way Jo, you are going to love the chicken picture I got with Connor. It is up.

Maxi dresses were all the rage in school when I went. They have come back in style. They have long ones which go good with a pair of sandals.

I do not even own a pair of sandals. I have a pair of flip flops. I own about 12 pairs of shoes, most of which are tennis shoes. I may buy some sandals this summer though.

Flip flops work. I like to look in thrift stores for stuff like that. I hate paying big store prices. I was dumb to get rid of my dresses so long ago.

New scavenger hunt?

Not yet. I'm taking a break from the camera for a while.

I can understand that.

But with gas, it doesn't answer the question.

Like Usnuz is saying people have propane tanks rurally. Cities have gas lines.

About 60 years ago homes had to be converted from coal, wether it was for heating or cooking. More or less times changed and you couldn't find local coal deliveries.

So things became electric, and a cheap alternative was gas.

Now gas is really cheap because the US is a giant net exporter. I'm guessing Oz always needed to import it and it's always been expensive there.

There are lots of rural properties in my home state that run off propane. It is becoming less common as the utilities are pretty much everywhere. In the 60 and 70's, a lot of holiday homes in the country used propane bottles for the heating, cooking. It meant that when they went home, they could turn off the power supply and know that it was off.

Natural gas is plentiful here. Victoria is a net exporter and will be for years to come.
I have natural gas for heating and cooking purposes.

7.30 am here.

Woke up this morning feeling much more normal and much less coughing. Gonna see how the day pans out; but I plan to take it easy again today.

Stay cool.

We are just about done removing all the cabinet doors and drawer's hardware. Each door had seven screws AND a nail. There were 16 that are being reused. We are losing two cabinet doors and two drawers for a mini dishwasher. :faint:

I hope you begin to feeling like your old self again real soon.
