That is neat that Oz Comic Con is at Melbourne. That will be nice that Oz Comic Con will be a regular on the calender. Looks like it surpassed the totals for people at the Con. At least you got to go in on Sunday during that chaotic Saturday.

Sunday was chaotic but less so. They were still queueing ridiculous times outside.

How much were the entry tickets PIO?
Did it cost extra to see people speak?

And then how much was the autograph?? That's where they really hit you....

$20 entry and the panel times were inclusive of the price. There were VIP/Platinum tickets and special panel times with the celebrities but it was fine.

The autograph was $40 each for Sir Patrick Stewart and Stan Lee. The others were $30 each. Not too bad compared to US pricing.

:magnify:

So are you going to Comic Con this month Kim?

No, not this year and probably not next year either. We will most likely go in 2014 or 2015. He has only been asking me to go for about 15 years or so, so another two or three years will be okay, right?

Ok I was going to quote something but I forgot what it was. I'm so tired that I cant even type gaily forward.

Tiredness seems to be in vogue. I've just seen one set of relatives off. Still have the tail group here. Thankfully, I'm heading back to work tomorrow and I am looking forward to the "rest". :lmao:

That means I have to tell him he was right. I hate moments like that. You and I never spoke if he asks. Hahaha. Then, I do not have to tell him. Hope you enjoyed it. If you had the steak, I know you did.

Actually they have their own separate menu, not what they serve at the restaurant. I'm not sure where to post my pics from that day as you guys are the only ones who know I went.

I would say that is about the right time frame to go to Comic Con. Maybe Xander will want to go to Comic Con in the future.

The regular menu was fantasic, so the special menu must have been out of this world. I would love to read about your experience where ever you post it. I am sure others would as well, so I think it should go in your PTR.

Xander is really into Captain America right now. I think he will love it when we finally go. Superman comes out soon, and I think he will like that too.

You see the problem is that no one but you guys know I went out there. Once we get Arline in her place and computer set up she hopes to get on the DIS to help make some friends in a box. If that happens she'll be on my PTR. I don't know if she will read back and catch up. Or I might not even get around to posting them until after she is moved out. I'm hoping this week. They are going to start building the ramp tomorrow, I have an appt with the phone company to find out why the phone lines don't work as well. Once we have the ramp and her "I've fallen and can't get up" alrm is installed, she can move in.

I still have our last installment of the preview to post, shopping!!!!! Then I'll upload my pics from the lounge and work on that.

Oh, I get what you mean now. I can wait until you go again then. I did give in and admit to Crap that he was right. He rubbed it in. For 10k a year, your pictures are the closest we will ever get to seeing it.

You never know, we may be able to schedule a meet. If we don't have crazy surgery going on, I can drive out to the park in half an hour. The black card gets me in the lounge, and I can bring guests. All that has to happen is for the "first time" for Fran and I to go and then I can probably arrange meets at the lounge without her. she would probably be jealous if I was going out there with people before she has seen it, but it is a cool place to stop in and hang when you are visiting the park. Before that I uses to like to hut the winery for a drink, but in the future, this will be my go to respite for a relaxing moment.

That is so sweet of you to offer that. Next time we head down, I will let you know. I would love to meet you (still waiting for my first official DISmeet). Came really close to meeting Jo, who I miss on the boards. Seeing the club would be pretty awesome too. There is no way I can afford to get back there any time soon. With Crap's new job, he has no vacation time either. I hope everything goes well for Fran, so she can see it soon. She must be really excited about seeing it.

Unless you're willing to pony up the amounts for lunch or dinner (which used to be equivalent to the price of a day pass, not sure what they are now) I can't offer the Club and probably wouldn't necessarily want to do a meet there, but the lounge is no reservations come as you are, drinks and tapas, alcoholic and non alcohoic are availble, so sodas, Shirley Temples and a host of other signature beverages (which I witnessed but did not document). I think in the future that will be my goto for meeting people unless they really want to pay the $70+pp for the thrill to go to the club. I may or may not join folks at that price, it's good eating, but does really take you out for the day. When I eat that much, and have a few drinks, I'm sort of "done". I get so full that there isn't much else I can do but see Mr. Lincoln or maybe Haunted Mansion. I'm not going on Star Tours, Screamin or Space Mountain after lunch at the Club! After dinner, I'm usually ready to go back to the room which is why I wish Fran would like book a room instead of driving home, but for some reason (I guess since she has always done it that way) she doesn't like the idea of getting a room and wants to go home to cats.

We can meet anywhere you'd like if you are ever down there at the same time. I assumed the lounge you were referring to was in the club, so I misunderstood. Coming from Vegas, we are used to expensive meals. Disney prices are cheap to us (for nicer meals that is). If you took us into the club, we would have to buy meals for you and Fran as a thank you. I do not think Crap would have it any other way. He is all about give and take, because he works in the hospitality industry. If you gave us a chance to see the club, you'd have to take a meal or something from him. I have no problem paying that price on vacation as I usually save up to spend extra on a trip. Crap has friends that have attended the other club, so I was aware of the price to dine there. I could not even afford to get down there anytime soon due to the recent trip. It would take a while to save for a future trip. If you come down to Vegas sooner than I can get to Disneyland, I would love to meet the two of you here.

My comparison would be to Supernova.
A few years back (while I was still a poor student...as opposed to a poor worker) I won tickets to Supernova (which I think were 'valued' at at least $30)
Unfortunately I couldn't go due to an assignment being due the Monday  so I sent the troops to the show with my Alias magazine to get signed. "Marshall" (uber techno geek from Alias) was there but it cost $50 to get the magazine signed!!!!!! So they didn't :sad2:

He's hardly a superstar like Patrick Stewart :confused3
