Oh, Lori! I am so happy for you that DH got a job! I know how much you will miss Louisiana though!

Thank you- leaving HOME will be a toughie, and we are further from the Mouse, but closer to a hub airport-wise! AND only 5.5 hours from our family. Good enough for a few weekend trips home I'd say!


I pretty much have the places we wanna eat, just don't know what park we'll be at when.

I am also wanting to see Jordans luggagelaughing.

I have to book my ADR's on June 13th!!

And talking travel sized stuff- which i always have lots of- I need to get back on the Freebie thread, b/c I hate paying so much JUST for the size of the bottle. I must admit that I got most of my travel tums, immodium, ibuprofen, laundry det and softener , etc...from the Freebie thread!!

We are getting there on the readiness scale! Today it is the bank and a little more organization for packing.

Every year I read Oh, the Places You'll Go by Dr. Suess to my departing 8th graders. It is a wonderful book, and I always get teary-eyed as I read it to my students.

Well, this morning I have come to the realization that I am in the dreaded Waiting Place that Dr. Suess writes about:

"The Waiting Place...

...for people just waiting.

Waiting for a train to go
or a bus to come, or a plane to go
or the mail to come, or the rain to go
or the phone to ring, or the snow to snow
or waiting around for a yes or a no
or waiting for their hair to grow.
Everyone is just waiting.

Waiting for the fish to bite
or waiting for wind to fly a kite
or waiting around for Friday night
or waiting, perhaps, for their Uncle Jake,
or a pot to boil, or a better Break
or a string of pearls, or a pair of pants,

Only I am not waiting for my hair to grow or a better break.

Waiting for the mail to come with Charles' checks (why the man doesn't have direct deposit is beyond me).

Waiting to go to the bank.

Waiting to do the laundry the last time.

Waiting to pack the clothes.

Waiting to take Nala to the kennel on Friday.

Waiting to do my last three updates.

Waiting to put the maps in the car.

Waiting for Nobby to arrive.

Just waiting...

But Dr. Suess also tells me...

I know where to find my bright place with boom bands playing -- if I can just survive the Waiting Place.

UGGG. I know exactly how you are feeling. The waiting is so hard becuase you are so close. But once you are out of the waiting it will go so fast that you might wish you were waiting again LOL.
