:welcome: Glad to have you! Chelsea's heart's desire is to stay at the Grand Floridian!

Since my thread seems to be all bound up I'll post a picture of my little helper! Do you think Harper wants to go to Disney World with Mimi, Poppy and Uncle Baylor?

Happy Single Digits Jackie!!!! I'm so excited for you that I am this close to packing my stuff up and heading down your way.....Chelsea and Connor won't mind sharing space in the mini-van with me, right?!?!?!??!?!? ;)

I laughed out loud when I read your three favorite kinds of music a page or two back, because that is the usual soundtrack of my life in my car and in my house!!! :) Those kinds of music can make me happy no matter what is going on!

Love the Connor list....should we be expecting a Chelsea version as well??? We wouldn't want her to get upset!!!! ;)

Enjoy your relaxation....you deserve it babe!!! Wish I could come help you pack...wouldn't that be fun with a pitcher of margaritas to help us "focus!" Ha ha ha ha!! Love ya girlie!

Happy Single Digits!!!!!!!!!!

The list about Connor is cute...though #1 is scary! for you on that one!

Henry has been to Disney twice and already has his own list going as well...:rolleyes1

A rootbeer float sounds awfully tasty!

Aw, Connor!

That boy has the best outlook on life. Seriously.

Nothing bad ever happens at Disney World. And for him, that's totally true. I think we could all learn a great lesson from the musings of your son, CP. :goodvibes

Jackie,
Just wanted to link you up with my new thread, the old one got moved over to completed today........

Hello dear!

You are getting so close!! I hope packing goes well - I do both like and don't like to pack; on the one hand, it means you're leaving soon, but on the other hand, I'm always worried I will forget something important like a toothbrush or underwear. :goodvibes

I for one am guilty of picking up items for my trip NOW, and it's 6 months away!! :rotfl: Like tonight after work, I ran to Target (pronounced "Tar-jay" of course) to pick up English muffins and some bell peppers and I came out with some SPF 50 sunscreen for our trip - both spray and regular kind. I am sick, I need help!! :rolleyes1

I've been readiong all along, but with your trip so close, I thought that I would chime in so I can enjoy your last few frantic days prior to the trip!!
By the way, you have a lovely family:goodvibes

Sorry I haven't been around much... but I'll definitely dance with you!

Thank you!!! You even brought a band!!!

She is such a cutie!!! I think you should bring her along!

C'mon, Jen! There is plenty of room in the van! Megs and Tom can come, too!

Probably not a Chelsea list -- hers would go something like this:
1. December, 2004: Pitched a fit because her mom wouldn't ride ToT.
2. June, 2007: Pitched a fit because her mom and brother wouldn't ride ToT.
3. October, 2007: Pitched a fit because she wanted to ride Space Mountain instead of watching fireworks.
4. April, 2008: Pitched a fit because her mom wouldn't ride Crush n' Gusher.
5. June, 2008: Pitched a fit because she got root beer float all over herself waiting for Spectro.

Do you see a pattern in this?

Margaritas with you would certainly make packing more fun! :thumbsup2

Thank you! Yes, I don't think it is possible to take children to Disney without them creating their lists of "moments."

Thanks! Connor does generally have a really great outlook on life, but he has his "moments" in real life, too. For example, when he went to get his eye exam, he was mad at me for not letting him get the glasses with the sunglasses that snap on. The other day we went to Target and he was mad at me for not spotting him ten dollars for Legos. I told him I was saving my money for Disney. His response? "I never get any new toys! I have nothing to play with at home!" Now, as everyone can see from the pictures of his room over spring break, the boy is far from deprived. :sad2: Oh well, he'll thank me when we are at Disney and have spending money. ;)

I headed over -- I am so glad you started another one so that we could send you off to Disney properly!

Hi, Katie! I am the same way about packing, but I try to keep in mind what my mom always says about being able to buy anything that we forget as long as we remember the money and the credit cards.

Oh, don't worry -- I have been filling our trip drawer for a year -- wait until you see a photo of it -- it is overflowing at this point!

I've been readiong all along, but with your trip so close, I thought that I would chime in so I can enjoy your last few frantic days prior to the trip!!

:welcome: Thanks for posting! The more the merrier these last few days!

On the 9th day until Disney, I checked us in online.

Who knew that reading a list of admonitions about all the things guests are not allowed to do at Animal Kingdom Lodge (throw items at animals, etc.) could make me so excited about our upcoming trip? It did, though. I did a little happy dance as I clicked and verified everything.

So, in nine days, you can find us checking into the beautiful Animal Kingdom Lodge!

(MeMom, do you have a photo of AKL that I can post in this update?)

so, are there any strage no-no's?
If not, I'm sure streaking near the safari would be great fun.

Or you could make the pool into a Pumba "special"

luggage rack races are always fun too!

or maybe you could hop onto the counter in the lobby and at the top of your voice yell....."Ikurumba mamba dissimo dobe bb dobe baba"
obviously , I'm not an expert in Swahili....or whatever language that is!
if you understood that last line you must be a disney freak!

Ooh, I can't wait for online check in!:cool1: Congratulations Jacki!:goodvibes

I love Winkers list. It sounds like a game of AKL truth or dare.

These are from March.

Presenting your future home away from home, my friend!

Hey girl! Just stopping in to say HEY! We went to WDW again over the Memorial Day holiday and it was wonderful despite the nasty rain. :headache: On the last day we had CS meals left and I remembered the shrimp at the AKL were really good. Sure enough even better than I remembered! The kids had flat bread pizza and that was amazing too. I'd be eating there every day if I was staying there! ;)

Your trip is almost here! You ready?

... reading a list of admonitions about all the things guests are not allowed to do at Animal Kingdom Lodge (throw items at animals, etc.)

Who would want to throw anything at an animal?? :confused3

:duck:

I guess someone must've tried, otherwise they wouldn't post it!!

Oh well... glad you are getting more and more excited about your stay at AKL!

(And thanks for sharing the awesome pix, MeMom!!)
