Got Pixie Dust? A June 2009 PTR ~TR Link, Page 180

What a fun week you had - except Friday - that's scary! I'm glad to hear you are all okay and everything is fine.

The easter egg dying looked like a great time-I love the Darth Vadar kit. We dyed eggs for the first time here and...it wasn't pretty. We ended up with the World's Ugliest Easter Eggs! :rotfl: BUT, we had a great time, and that's what matters, right? :goodvibes

I hope you had a great Easter, I look forward to any pictures/adventures you might be sharing in the near future...

I don't know how I managed to miss your updates. The storms sound awfully scary. I am so glad we don't get tornados very often up here. I'd be petrified.

And I'm with TK too. I am so in if you need another funny, crazy Aunt for the family. I even come with recomendations! :)

CP~looks like you had a great spring break. Ours is this week and the kids are heading to camp Mimi's for free. (Mimi is my MIL). She is taking them to parks, museums, and even up to Rock City!

Fun! I want to take the kids to Rock City! I want one of those birdhouses that say, "See Rock City!"

Jackie...well besides the storms it looks and sounds like you guys had a fabulous Spring Break I'm so glad you enjoyed your time off.

Oh next year I'm coming to your house to dye eggs for the first time it looks like so much fun...I want a Darth Vader egg too LOL!!!!

We are getting some storms today I hope you are doing okay and hopefully its all avoiding you!

We did enjoy our time off, but it sure went by fast! Hopefully the next six weeks fly by as well!

See, if you egg dye, you, too, can have Darth on an egg of your very own. Sadly, he is no more -- just a distant memory of egg salad! :rotfl:

You had nasty storms yesterday! Let's hope for sunshine from here on out!

Hi,
I have been reading your two PTR/TRs all weekend. I have learned a lot. I am very new to DIS but am interested to learn as much as possible. Thanks and I can't wait to hear how it is going. Maybe one day I will be brave enough to write one of my very own.
:cool2:

:welcome: You'll love the DIS! But be forewarned, it is very addicting! Writing a PTR is loads of fun, and it helps the time go by faster until the vacation!

What a fun spring break you all had! That is my kind of week. What a fun mom you are! I've been off of work with the kiddos for the last four days and I am so sad I have to go back tomorrow. We are doing absolutely nothing today to try and it make it go slower. ;) I hope today went okay for you all, being back in your regular routines.

Thank you so much! :goodvibes

:lmao: We do the same thing -- try to do nothing our last day to make it last as long as possible.

Yesterday was a Monday -- enough said. ;)

I have finally caught up with everything and hope to do a better job of keeping up since I'm on maternity leave.

Yeay, Jill's back!!! How long do you have off for maternity leave?

Wow, I totally missed the spring break post!

What is wrong with me? Don't answer that. :lmao:

You really have a lot of fun! If you're ready to adopt me into the family as a crazy aunt, feel free to let me know. :thumbsup2

There is nothing wrong with our TK! :goodvibes

Come be a crazy aunt anytime!!! You would fit right in with the rest of us. :rotfl:

I agree.

Did that slowing down time thing work? If so, I really want to sloooooow down my weekends!

CP, who is this stranger showing up on your report????

Did you have any storm damage this morning? Our neigborhood had several trees down, but no house damage. A friend several miles down the road is without power, but we still have power.

Hope your first day back to school went OK.

No trees or house damage yesterday, thank goodness. I felt like Piglet during a blustery day though just trying to open my car door. The power flickered a couple of times, but didn't go out -- thank goodness.

One Monday down -- five more to go until school is out! :thumbsup2

I love that you took pictures all week! :thumbsup2 I need to remember to do that more often.

Amazing what I take photos of when I am writing a PTR. ;)

I can't believe that it has taken me so long to follow up on your PTR! Isn't it amazing what a mom can do with a room??? I still have to do that from time to time for my 15 yr old!
Those storms look wicked! Glad no one was hurt and that you all survived.
So happy that you had a nice Easter with your family!

I have a friend at work that said the same thing about her teenage boy -- I was hoping Connor would outgrow that but I guess that was wishful thinking. :rolleyes1

The storms were wicked and all the kids wanted to compare storm stories yesterday!

I've seen your name around many times and just assumed you were from around here. (I'm in Myrtle Beach) Hubby is from Charleston though. He grew up in Summerville. Close enough. :goodvibes Our sons are the same age and both love Lego's and Star Wars.....hmmm. I know what you have to deal with. :rotfl2: Anyway, I am subbing. I know there's a lot too catch up but I'm gonna try! :)

:welcome: I grew up in Charleston but moved to the Atlanta area when I met Charles. I am so jealous that you are on the coast -- I miss the ocean everyday!

I think I picked up enough Legos to make a life-size Death Star last Tuesday. :rotfl2:

You have a ton of reports in your siggie -- what's your most current one?

What a fun week you had - except Friday - that's scary! I'm glad to hear you are all okay and everything is fine.

:rotfl: about the World's Ugliest Easter Eggs -- I bet Henry loved it though and like you said, that's what matters right? You'll get better with practice, I promise. :goodvibes

We did have a very nice Easter but it was a lot of running around visiting family. It's hard to believe we are finished with holidays until July!

I don't know how I managed to miss your updates. The storms sound awfully scary. I am so glad we don't get tornados very often up here. I'd be petrified.

That's funny that you said that about how rare tornadoes are in New England. My SIL posted a picture of Connor on Friday during the worst of the storms and my friend created a caption that reads, "When I grow up I am moving up North and marrying a woman the complete opposite of my mom." :lmao: He probably will, too, after a childhood of his mother's storm phobias. ;)

Hey, the more crazy aunts, the merrier! Come play with us in Georgia!

I agree.

Did that slowing down time thing work? If so, I really want to sloooooow down my weekends!

CP, who is this stranger showing up on your report????

I need that secret formula for sure!!!

Why, MeMom, that is our very own Supermom that has somehow managed to carve out time for the DIS while caring for a two-year-old (or is Brooklyn three?) and a one week-old baby! :eek:I can't even manage to unload the dishwasher and DIS in the same evening -- the dishes always lose.

Oops, I missed these just now so they are out of order. The other replies are on the previous page!

Hi Jackie! You looked like you guys had a GREAT spring break! LOVED the french themed lunch!!:thumbsup2 I can't believe how fast June is coming!:cool1: I hope you had a wonderful Easter and the the transition back to school is a smooth one!:goodvibes

We did have a fun spring break! Let's hope June arrives soon!!! Have fun in NYC the rest of the week, Diane!

That's what I came over her looking for, too!!! :)

Sadly, I forgot the camera on Sunday. :sad2:

I hope you had a Happy Easter yesterday. :goodvibes

Looks like you had a productive & fun week last week. Those storms looked scary! :scared1: 6 weeks left of school! :cool1:

We did -- how about you?

We are in the homestretch for sure on school! This last bit usually goes pretty quickly!

Hey, Happy Easter!

Yes, they are growing like weeds and Chelsea just keeps getting more and more beautiful and grown up! Watch them boys!!

We are doing good, thank you. We have had some setbacks this year, but all in all, I have so much to be thankful for. I DO have a super secret Disney trip in the works(it is HARD to make super secret ressies). My kids ahve a feelng I think-but when do they NOT have a feeling that a Disney crazed mom doesn't have a possible trip in the works, SOMEWHERE down the line.:wizard:

It will remain super secret till the day we leave, if possible.

It also depends GREATLY on my hubby's job situation since he still is "involuntarily retired". But hopefully that will change this week-we are awaiting some phone calls. We cannot justify a trip if he is unemployed, right! Gotta save those pennies for IF he is still here after severance runs dry.

Anyway, I am working more often while HE homeschools a couple times a week-it has been a GOOD thing, surprisingly!

Have fun planning! Like you always do!

Lori

Happy Belated Easter, Lori! Hope you had a great day!

Wow! You have been busy! I hope DH finds something soon!!! You better make sure to come back and tell me when the trip is a sure thing!!! You know how I adore your TRs!!! :goodvibes

Are you posting some Easter activity pics?
Wishing you a smooth Monday and a week that will fly by.........

Well, it's Tuesday night -- almost halfway through the week. ;)

I don't have any fun Easter pics, but I did remember to photograph the baskets -- I'll post that one soon.

Hope you had a great Easter Jackie! Good Luck Monday at school....

Happy Belated Easter, Laura! I bet the girls were thrilled with their eggs filled with Disney Dollars.

Yesterday went pretty smoothly all things considered -- middle schoolers are always extra chatty after a holiday because they haven't seen their friends in awhile.

:cool1: Does that make TK and I your long lost New England sisters or something? :rotfl:

Hmmm just need to come up with a good excuse to go to Georgia now. :)

We did have a very nice Easter but it was a lot of running around visiting family. It's hard to believe we are finished with holidays until July!

Henry DID love it. He did it with his Grammy the day before and Poppa took video-he was soooo into it, so I knew we had to do it again! He knew exactly what to do and made nice big splashes THROWING the eggs into the cups of dye. :lmao: We ended up with a couple cracked ones.

Good thing you have a WDW TRIP in there to tide you over between holidays, eh?! :yay:

Okay, so re the fashion statements of yore, I get the pegged jeans and denim jacket stuff, what about the perpetual head tilt to keep your bobbed coif out our your eyes and so conseqently you viewed the world with a slanted perspective!! re spring break, loved the legos and the deathstar comment... I feel like we have the same problem with Legos, too! My DS 6 fills his pockets with the lego men, so every time I do laundry I pull random plastic piece out of the machine! YUM on PB cookies. YIKES on the storms.

The Eggs looked great, did like the Star Wars set, nice! :thumbsup2

All caught up now! Glad to be back and reading up on your PTR again!

Yes, that must be it -- we are kindred spirits! :goodvibes

Warmer weather and being close to Disney are always good excuses. ;)

How cute that Henry was tossing the eggs in!!! Hope you had the table covered -- I learned that egg dye stains the hard way!

Yes, our trip to WDW is right up there with holidays -- both in terms of preparations and fun! :thumbsup2

Hurray for being caught up!

Yes, not only did we tilt our heads to keep our hair out of our eyes, but I think our heads were weighed down with all the hairspray that we used.

Picking up Legos from every nook and cranny seems to be the story of my existence -- too funny about DS and the Lego men in his pocket -- Connor always has strange things in his pockets.

What will you celebrate?

Finding my long lost relatives! YAY!!!! ;)

Surely there is a celebration button for that!

Wait, you mean I need to have an excuse to meet my kindred, long lost Disney loving family? Really you had me at warmer weather at this point. ;)

:thumbsup2

And after reading the beginning of your new PTR, I can also add that we are in Gone with the Wind territory -- red clay, two GWTW museums, the house where Margaret Mitchell wrote GWTW, Jonesboro...should I go on? :goodvibes

Phew, I am caught back up again!!!

Your storm pics were scary!!!! Ugh, I hated those storms!!!! I was so glad when they passed!

I love the Easter pictures! We didn't do boiled eggs this year, only plastic full of candy! :lmao:

I love, love, love your tip cards you made! They are awesome!!
