Got Pixie Dust? A June 2009 PTR ~TR Link, Page 180

This great! Soo creative and funny! I love doing things like that- when I coached I use to come up with funny things like that and have the team do them. I tried thinking of what country I could be and it was tooo hard for myself.. couldn't decide between France-Germany-Morocco. I finally narrowed it to France & Germany and finally said- who cares- no one is asking me.. I can just NOT play by the rules and be both.. depending on my mood! hehe :lmao:

LOVED the update Jackie! Bryan was reading along with me and nearly choked to death from laughing at what Charles said! He said "if that guy is Teppan Edo then I am Boma":rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Eeyore ran into someone who knows Chelsea while he was at Hollywood Studios last week. He sent you a message.

COUNTRY: Teppan Edo. I know, I know -- there is a story behind this one.
WHY? When I asked Charles last night what country he thought he was, he said, "Teppan Edo." I responded in my oh-so-patient voice, "Honey, Teppan Edo is a restaurant. I want you to come up with a country." His response, "I don't want to be a country; I want to be Teppan Edo because of the yummy food." Sigh. He never wants to play by the rules. This morning when I mentioned that I needed to type up my update, Charles said, "Don't forget. I want to be Teppan Edo. Not Japan. Teppan Edo."

Fine. He can be Teppan Edo. He does love cooking and good food.

:rotfl::rotfl2::rotfl: That is SO FUNNY! I love how insistent he was on being Teppan Edo, NOT Japan. I will always be thinking of Japan as Teppan Edo land now...! Love the update - great idea! I might steal it for when I start my PTR (someday...). :goodvibes

Really a fun game to play :thumbsup2 and I think everyone is right: how hard is it going to be walking around the world show case with out saying "I am Teppan Edo... Not Japan, Teppan Edo..."

OMG!! I could hear that voice in my head and busted out laughing!!! :lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

"Yeah! I'm a Vicking baby!" :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

;) Connor and I just feed off of each other when it comes to hamming it for the camera.

So fun! Great update as always!

Thanks! It was a lot of fun to write!

Great update, Jackie! Very cute matching of the countries. And I too laughed at the "Be a Viking! Be a ferocious viking!"

So what would you say to CHARLES? "Be a dish, baby! A tasty dish!"

:lmao::rotfl::rotfl2: I have been practicing sayings in my mind for Charles. I think my favorite is, "Be Udon noodles, baby!"

What a great idea LL had! I love this update. And I really think you picked countries that fit everyone's personalities to a T.

And I love that Charles had to be different. That's so him. :lmao:

Thank you! That is so Charles, isn't it? He always makes me laugh -- that is one of my favorite things about him.

Cute idea! I'll have to see if I can figure out a country for each of us - I'll wait until after this trip so we can get a closer look. :thumbsup2

Thank you! You could use the pictures you take for yours! :thumbsup2

Okay---that was so much fun! Not surprised at all by the answers--okay, Charles just a little, but then again, he is often breaking the rules or being coy about his true Disney passion, so I guess we all really shouldn't be surprised by his answer!!! ;)

Thank you, Jen! It was fun trying to decide which countries we would be -- Charles is too much with his coyness!

Other replies are on the previous page! :thumbsup2

Hey CP....this looks like it'd be a really cool game to play while you're counting down for your trip.

I think Santa might need to get this game! I can see my DH now. He doesn't have the love of Disney like the girls and I so I'm sure there will be some :rolleyes2 LOL

What a cool game, Jilly! Thanks for the link! It looks like just the thing to combat Disney Blues when we come back.

Nothing big.

Twice the food for half the price will be sufficient. :)

I will be sure His Royal Highness mentions that when he returns to his kingdom.

Thank you! We will let you be both France and Germany depending on your mood. ;)

Thank you! I love that Bryan decided on Boma for himself. Our men do know what they love when it comes to Disney eatin'. :goodvibes

Steal away! I saw a little something over on the AKL Lite thread today about that December trip...:rolleyes1 I tend to lurk over there since someone is always posting pics of zebra domes.

It was neat to do something a little bit different. You know I will have to milk the whole Teppan Edo thing when we go to eat there this summer.

Of COURSE you will... so LL tells me I need to get a blond wig for my DH. You should get one of those head bands for Charles to wear... you know the head bands a la Karate Kid? Hey! :scratchin Do the chefs at Teppan Edo wear them?! That would be too funny...:rotfl:

What a great idea - it's fun to see your family's personalities in "their" country :) And I chuckled at Charles' insistence that he was NOT Japan :rotfl: what a hoot!

I was thinking that today I might start my pre-trip report. :goodvibes I know, I still have 8 months to go, but I am on day 4 of being home with the stomach flu and I need something to pass the time!! Plus, I do have other non-Disney events in the next few months that I could talk about to pass the time if necessary. :thumbsup2

Now I just have to come up with a title...hmmm...I'll think on that and get back to you. popcorn::

Oh! Please CP!! That would be HILARIOUS!

I had the hardest time coming up with an idea for this week's update. Luckily, LL and her amazing creativity came through with this one. :goodvibes

If each of us was a country in World Showcase, what country would we be???

CHELSEA

009_16.jpg

006_19.jpg

COUNTRY: France
WHY? Chelsea was the easiest one of the bunch to decide. She is, without a doubt, France. First, she loves anything to do with the French right now, and her dream is to go to Paris one day. When I walk into her room in the morning, it often smells like a perfumerie, and she is definitely a style setter with her interesting outfits and fashion taste. Breakfast of choice for Mademoiselle Chelsea? Hot chocolate and a chocolate croissant. So French!

ME

010_15.jpg

COUNTRY: Morocco
WHY? Why, because I am so exotic. :rotfl: No, really, I think I would be Morocco because I am in love with far-off lands filled with sand and adventure. If it is an ancient culture in the desert, I am hooked. The idea of wandering through bazaars and eating dates and figs would be my ideal way to spend the day. I adore hot, hot, hot weather, and enough cannot be said in praise of tangerine daiquiris, baklava, and henna tattoos.

CONNOR

005_20.jpg

001_24-1.jpg

COUNTRY: Norway
WHY? Connor was a tough one. I debated between Norway and Japan. I finally decided that Norway was the winner. Connor has a Viking spirit. He is happiest battling trolls on his Lord of the Rings game; he loves venturing forth to discover new lands; and he does love his weaponry. Viking all the way! Plus, like the Vikings, he can wreak havoc and destruction on an otherwise nice and neat room, and he has a spirit of persistence that could easily be mistaken for stubborness. ;)

I think Prince Phillip and your Charles would get along fabulously...I love that response. Great questions CP and great idea LL!! That is so wonderful!!!!!

Teppan Edo...hmmmm I want to eat there some day I bet it is great food!!

Love the description of Connor...I think I have a bit of Viking in me too LOL!!!

Thank you! :goodvibes Oh, I hope you feel better soon -- stomach viruses are always so horrible! You should start you PTR! I started mine at the beginning of October which means it will be going for about eight months by the time we go.

Oh! Please CP!! That would be HILARIOUS!

I think so, too! I just have to think of something to bargain with so that Charles will do it!

What a cool game, Jilly! Thanks for the link! It looks like just the thing to combat Disney Blues when we come back.

I ordered it today to give to the girls for Christmas. LOL

What a fun update! I've never even thought about that before... hm.... interesting idea!

It's April. Are we still doing Epcot, or are we moving to another park now? I forget the set-up.

I need some Epcot talk (or some Hollywood Studios talk or some Animal Kingdom talk or some kind of talk) this morning!

I would never be able to stash away anything for that long!

That's the game I've been looking for!!!!! I just placed an order with Amazon yesterday!! :headache:

I just ordered it!! Since it has free shipping... :rolleyes1

I hope we get it soon so we have time to play it a few times before our trip!

You will have to take pictures of playing it and share with us! :goodvibes

Yay for me figuring out how to multi-quote! LOL

Yeay!!!

What a fun update! I've never even thought about that before... hm.... interesting idea!

Thank you! It was fun -- it will be hard to follow it up.

I need Disney talk everyday to stay sane, I think -- especially when it is the day before spring break.

It is April, and we are headed to Disney Hollywood Studios for this month! I have already uploaded some great early photos from its days of MGM -- and some great shots of me in early 90's clothes -- those are always good for a few laughs. :rotfl:

I just got the game and it looks so cool! I don't know if I'll be able to hold on to it for Christmas! LOL Hmmm...Hannah's birthday is in June...maybe a birthday present? LOL

I love your update about the countries in WS! What a great idea!
Charles with his "tepan edo" cracked me up! Perhaps he should revisit grade school geography.;)
