Got Pixie Dust? A June 2009 PTR ~TR Link, Page 180

I know that everybody has commented on your flowering trees and beautiful weather, but I'm going to going to comment too! I wish we had some of that up here!!!! ( I need a stomp your feet and throw a tantrum smilie) It's still SOOOO cold!

I'm totally jealous of your trees!!!!!!!!!! Ours are still bare. It was in the lower 60s this weekend, but it's back to the 40s and even 30s this week. Sigh. Those are BEAUTIFUL trees too, what a great site to see everyday.

Your "other stuff" for Epcot looks great. I love the shopping and eating around the WS! I kinda wanted to do the pick-a-pearl last time, but didn't know how to have it set being I wear pretty chunky jewlery...I'm really liking the ring idea!

We watched Illuminations near Germany once and then in January we watched near the front of the WS, slightly more toward Canada, and I really enjoyed that spot. The entire show seemed much closer than over by Germany.

I just started back through your report looking for a reply from megablocks, because I can't find her pre-trippie or trippie and the search function is down. Anyway, I got sidetracked by the fact that your husband plays WoW. Ugh, I'm frequently a Wow widow. I think my eyes do the same glazed over thing when he's talking about different dungeons that his do when I'm telling him about the particulars of the dining plan. He says there are a lot of southern guys in his guild. Is Charles in one? Maybe they are WoW geeks together!

Great idea to use the Moroccan tiles in your kitchen! I was thinking - wow, those are going to be expensive to ship home! But then I realized your just in GA so you would be driving... can you imagine shipping them???

Hi! I think the idea to renovate/redecorate your kitchen around these tiles sounds like such a great idea. :thumbsup2 It makes the whole planning easier if you have a theme centered around an anchor, like these tiles would provide. Before we moved into our house, I had the interior painted, and I used the new entry way rug that I bought to help me pick the colors. It created a great scheme to work from ... good for you ! HDTV look out! I also have a disney inspired bathroom... We bought prints from the 40th anniversary of The Tiki Room, and I framed these for the boys bathroom. All these crazy pop-art colors, it is so fun! I am sure you will come away with some great tiles, and this make such a great way to capture memories too :)

Oh, I bet your house is gorgeous!!! I love the Tiki Room inspired bathroom!!! The kids' bathroom is all surfboard/flip flop themed and Chelsea's bedroom is a Hawaiian theme -- Connor's room should be the other project this summer -- it has been about four years since we did anything with it.

Thank you!!! I don't think I could ever live up north -- I need warm weather on a regular basis -- as it is, I could move to Key West and be perfectly happy.

Thank you for the compliments on my trees -- it is supposed to storm and rain for the next four days so all those gorgeous blooms will probably be scattered before the end of the weekend.

The ring is a good idea -- I favor chunky jewelry as well -- have you seen any of the photos of the new Trend D store in DtD -- I can't wait to visit it because it looks right up my alley.

Was it very crowded near the front of WS?

Here is a link to Megablocks' post with the tiles:

Megablocks' DHS/Epcot Post

Her TR is called An Almost Girly Trip -- it's great!

Actually after YEARS of playing WoW Charles has switched over to Lord of the Rings Mines of Moria -- which is pretty much the same thing as far as I can tell with some hobbits thrown in for good measure. I know what you mean when he starts talking about his quests and guilds and mounts and all that other stuff I just zone out. :rotfl:

I can't imagine what it must cost to ship them!

I played around with the idea of flying when I saw the great prices on flights, but then I realized I would have to limit what I buy. I can't have that -- we'll just have to enjoy our together time for seven hours in the car.

OK, the tiles are too cool! My kitchen is in need of a re-do as well, old nasty wallpaper needs to be stripped away. I wish I could figure out a way to get those tiles home. My luggage is usually within a few ounces of exceeding the limit!

I would be tempted to carry them on the plane (which of course would be miserably heavy) -- is there a weight limit on carry-ons as well these days?

I wonder what Disney does charge to ship them?

I would definitely try to carry them on. Your carry-on has no weight limit... you just have to be able to lift it into the overhead compartment (I often pack too much in the carry on and have trouble with that!) and be sure that it's small enough to fit up there.

I wouldn't want to risk breaking those beauties in your suitcase!

You know, I was thinking the same thing as you two! I have hard sided luggage and my carry on does fit overhead, all I will need to do is make sure the tiles are properly wrapped. Yea, I'm thinking I might get that wallpaper down before the trip, then I can chose a color of paint based on the tile. I am excited!:woohoo:

Oh wow, yeah those tiles are beautiful! You could SO do some great things with them! I wouldnt be able to decide!! I like both....I am sure there are others too.... decisions decisions! I will take a photo of our Tiki room Bathroom and share it ;)

Oh please do Happy Dog, I'm in the middle of a bathroom redo and don't know what I'm doing to it, just got new ceramic tile on the floor, the walls are stripped........

Disney usually does a really good job wrapping breakables, so if you stash them in your carry-on, everything should be fine, Wigd! :thumbsup2

Home decorating projects for the summer!!!

Yes, please, photos of your Tiki Bathroom.

Did you do the tile or did you have someone do it? How hard was it?

A couple more tile pictures for you.

Will DO! Took pictures last night... need to upload. Will do it on my PTR tonight, so as not to clutter CP's! ;)

Those tiles are gorgeous! I wish the shops at WDW had websites where you could order stuff instead of having to go through WDW Merchandising, or whatever it's called. How am I supposed to know what the SKU number is on an item they have?! LOL

Jackie you have the bestest ideas and I feel kinda bad about wanting to steal all of them. Ok, not really but you know what I mean. I was painting my bathroom last night (for the 2nd time this month - didn't like the first color), and I was thinking how cool it would be to have some disney tiles incorporated into the bathrooms. Then I started brainstorming other areas of the house. :rotfl:

Can't wait to hear more popcorn::

I LOVVE Those pictures! I love those trees.. the flowers are so pretty and smell so good!

[*]Morocco: Tiles! I want to buy some of those beautiful Moroccan tiles and then redo my kitchen around them. I am super excited about this project. Chelsea and I also plan on getting henna tattoos again. Those were so fun last year.

I also LOVE Morocco and all the tiles.. the first time I seen it I fell in love and wanted to take a million pictures around it. It was so beautiful and classic. Great idea- that would be 1 amazing kitchen and disney inspired! hehe

[*]Teppan Edo: Charles's favorite meal last year -- I am looking forward to that delicious shrimp again. yummmyy

I also make goals of things I HAVE to do each trip- and usually it does happen!

Wow, Jackie, I was like, ten pages behind. All caught up now, though! Love the pics of your floweing trees! It's raining here....and 52 degrees. I thought I left DC? Ha ha. Seems like I brought the DC weather with me to TX!

How pretty! Thank you, MeMom! Don't you just love all that tile in Morocco. I have a picture of Charles and me sitting on the fountain on my desk at school, and it just makes me smile everytime I look at it.

Jilly! I was just thinking the other day that I hadn't heard from you in awhile! I would be in so much trouble if WDW had a website like that, but I sure would love to be able to order things that I see on the DIS that I want.

Ahhh, thanks! Steal away! I do the same thing when I start thinking about the house -- one room becomes another room and soon I am redecorating the whole place in my mind's eye.

Thank you! Looking back over the years, I take more photos in Morocco on each trip than in any other country.

If I make it a goal, I tend to be pretty stubborn about making sure it happens -- I think it is the OCD in me -- have to be able to cross it off the list.

Jewels is back! Glad you are all caught up again! :woohoo: Don't you hate it when you accidentally bring bad weather with you ;)? It always happens to me. It should warm back up soon though, right?
