Got Pixie Dust? A June 2009 PTR ~TR Link, Page 180

I did not know such pins existed. I have only this summer started letting myself look at pins. I started out with one of each park and then a favorite ride or two from each park. Then I got one from Pop and All-Stars, which are the resorts we've stayed in. Next, I'm starting on resorts we've visited, which will be all of them, so I'm sunk.

I use them on my bulletin board at school - just the one behind my desk that has schedules and information, not on anything for the kids. It is a nice little pick-me-up when I go to change out a paper and I am reminded of happier things.

Chp and Dale, or ChipDale, as Brooklynn says, are very cute eating all their goodies. I had no idea that zebra domes and tie-dyed cheesecake had been so immortalized by having their own pins. The Dis is truly a learning experience of a different kind! ;)

Those pins are all so cute!

I had no idea that they made pins of Chip and Dale eating all the different desserts. What a great way to start a collection!

I am trying very hard to stay away from the pin trading thing...

Oh, those pins are just darn tootin' adorable! I love them.

And I avoid them like the plague! I have been addicted before. :confused3

Very cute pins! I know once Henry gets old enough I will be additced. I can totally justify it by saying it's for him! :lmao:

I love your pins!! You are really making me want to go on ebay. I can't even go on there anymore because of the pin addiction. I did buy a shadow box recently for my pins and finally had the chance to put all the pins in them today. It looks awesome. I will have to take some pics of it for you. I got a 12 x 12 shadow box and it just fit my pin collection. Clearly, I have a problem. I got a special Chip & Dale Wilderness Lodge pin. I only found it at WL too. So there is something else to entice you to not resort hop. :rolleyes1

Cute pins!!!! I have not ventured into the world of pins--Tom is probably SO excited to hear that!!! BUT, Megan did get a few from my brother and his kids this past trip----I wonder if she will want more next time we go?!?!?!??!

BTW---Quote of Megan at the breakfast table this morning:

"Um, Daddy, When ARE you going to take me back to Mickey's House?" (Bats eyes directly at him)

Is she good or what????

Now, let's see if she can work her magic!!!! ;o)

Awww those pins are so cute! I bought a set of 15 of them on ebay (Buy It Now style as well) and now if I go on and buy more I'm blaming it on you:rotfl: They're just so adorable I don't know how to resist them!

Great Pins! Em is gonna go nuts when she sees them. Chip and Dale are her favs!! I've gotta check Ebay out!

Oh no! Not you too?!?! I've so far resisted the temptation of the pins but these pictures may send me over the edge. I love Chip and Dale!

They have lots of cute Chip and Dale pins! :rolleyes1

So what's your plan for these pins? Are they for display only or will you be a trader?

Most of them are on my lanyard right now. I don't trade -- the ones I buy I want to keep.

And totally with you on the turkey leg. :scared:

I may break down and get it though since it is part of the collection.

Yep, once you buy that first one you are done for. ;)

I remember you mentioning that on your TR awhile back, and I "borrowed" your idea. It does truly brighten my day to look over on my board and see some of my little Disney pins twinkling at me.

I saw the zebra dome pin on someone else's TR and just knew I had to have it. They are all part of a series that only Cast Members received, but there are scads of them on ebay!

Those pins are all so cute!

Good luck trying to stay away -- I started my own pin collection in April, and it has grown pretty quickly.

Oh, those pins are just darn tootin' adorable! I love them.

I just tell myself it is cheaper than going down to Disney for a few days for a quick fix -- which I tend to do also -- but that's besides the point.

Very cute pins! I know once Henry gets old enough I will be additced. I can totally justify it by saying it's for him! :lmao:

That's how we started at my house -- in 2004 Chelsea and Connor started with their own pins and lanyards -- we have kept adding and adding on every trip and then I decided to start my own earlier this year.

Oh, you totally need to post a picture of your shadow box! I want to see how it turned out! I have seen the Chip and Dale Wilderness Lodge pin on ebay, but I told myself that I couldn't buy it until I stayed there.

There are just so many cute ones, they are hard to resist.

:rotfl: I love it -- what was Tom's response? Connor was cracking us up last night because he kind of coughed on a peanut M&M, and then as he was recovering he said, "Quick, I need an emergency trip to Disney World!"

 You are welcome to blame me -- it's like a Circle of Life kind of thing, I blame Lady Lallie, and then, you can blame me, and then, when someone reads your PTR and buys some, they can blame you. :lmao:

Great Pins! Em is gonna go nuts when she sees them. Chip and Dale are her favs!! I've gotta check Ebay out!

They are really easy to find and very inexpensive for the most part -- even with shipping, all of them ended up costing less than regular ones at Disney.

I just showed Em your pin pics and she informed me that she has both the mickey head bars and the zebra domes from that collection. I had no idea. She wants the rest. I guess I will be showing her the wonders of ebay!:rotfl2:

Ebay is indeed wonderous! I am trying to remember what all was in the series: the tie-dyed cheesecake, the kitchen sink, a trukey leg, and a dole whip are the only things that come to mind. There may be others though.

He smiled at her and said, "Don't worry we will take you again sometime!" BUT then ever since that meal, HE has mentioned going back THIS YEAR on three separate occasions!!!! Hmmmmmm............I wonder what Tom has been thinking about!?!?!?!?!?!?!? :confused3 I don't want to get my hopes up TOO high, BUT he did ask me to get him some figures on smaller stays during weeks he can go before the end of the year-----I mean c'mon, he DOES have 13 vacation days to take still!!!!!!

I LOVE Connor's response---I think a trip to WDW could fix anything!

I have a new obsession that has developed since our June trip...I think I am going to blame Lady Lallie because she mentioned it on her PTR. ;)

Buying Disney pins on ebay is a very dangerous addiction.

:rotfl:

Next trip, you & the kids will have to stock up on the 'lots' of miscellaneous pins so you have a bunch to trade for the ones you like! It really worked well for the kiddos this trip and I didn't have to spend a fortune! About $20 for 15 pins. They both ended up happy with all their trades! :yay:

Oh yea- I'm back! :wave2:

I have just subscribed to your PTR because we will be going to WDW June 9-18, 2009. It will only be our second trip for my husband and I. The last time we went we were in high school. It will be the first trip for our two children ages 11 and 6. They just can't wait. We have our hotel reservations. They were booked through a friend that is in DVC so we are staying at Old Key West. I am also reading your other TR from this past summer so I can get as many ideas as I can on what to do & where to go eat.

I know I'm getting older when that makes me happy! ;)

:rotfl: Nah, we aren't getting older -- we are just realizing that warm weather is a good thing. ;)

Three words, Jen: Christmastime at Disney! :goodvibes I sure hope that you find a fun place to go to use Tom's vacation time (such as Disney ;)).

I agree -- a trip to WDW can fix just about anything.

Welcome back, Julia! So, you guys pin traded? How did that go? I will have to remember that for next trip -- I think Connor would really get into the whole trading aspect of it!

:welcome: You are going to have a blast! I have heard nothing but good things about Old Key West, and it is pretty centrally located! 10 days will give you a lot of time to see and do what you want -- I would love to stay that long! Are you planning on getting the dining plan?
