Week 13 Pt 2
Thursday November 6
Today I woke up to a voicemail from my place of employment at work. Cody, the director of the daycare, was just calling to see how I was doing. So I called back and we talked for a while. Good thing I will have a job when I go back home.
Next I called Gma. Her and kiss were coming down in 5 days!
I felt like I needed to be productive and not lay around all day waiting to go to work. So I walked to the outlets and purchased a birthday gift for my friend.
I had support shift today so I didn't start work until 5. So I left at 4 and made my trek from team disney to the cast service building. When I signed in I got market place support.
So let's talk about the market place and now zone 1/ all around the Christmas store has been swallowed up by the frozen take over. The frozen soundtrack on loop 24/7 and the only song I ever hear is Let It Go.
Tonight I got a call to go help out in WOD, we had some overflowing towels, shocker. On my walk over there I ran into Danielle and Adam. Like oh hey just running into my sister at dtd, who would have thought that? There was only time for a quick hug. I was in a rush and they were rushing to get to studios.
When I got to WOD the lady working in there had 4 stalls closed and she was letting the stress get to her. Guest show 1 came to help with the overflow while I stood outside and told all the ladies the restroom was closed...they were not happy at all. Haters gonna hate
I walked around all of the marketplace until my break. During my break I found out that there was an apartment roomie bonding night at epcot and both Brittany and I weren't invited, cool guys! Over it and I could really care less.
My night went by so fast and it was time to make the long trek to the new bus stop. When I got there I was the only one and no security tonight. Cool bro.
1989 album kept me company until more people showed up to the bus stop. Brittany also sent me this nice picture collage. It represents our friendship pretty well. We just enjoy laying around Disney world.
The bus went right by the turn and decided to go to the old bus stop instead. I was so mad! Another bus showed up about 15 minutes later.
Friday November 7
Today I headed back to the grocery store. I needed to get some cleaning supplies as well as a cake for gmas birthday! I ended up getting cupcakes because it would be easier to eat.
Then it was off to work I go.
I was super excited because I got another easy day of 3,4 assist. But that got taken away from me when the WOD female called in. So lucky me got put there for the night.
During my break we had some overflowing toilets aka the same ones from last night that they never fixed. I didn't have to deal with the mess this time though because I was on my break. So that was kind of a plus.
I spent my breaks with Brandon who was restrooms as well. He told me about his vista way life. He once had a drunk girl knock on his door saying she had to pee. So they let her in and she flopped on their couch and refused to leave. So her roommate had to come get her.
We headed to the dance party and literally had the time of our lives. This was probably the only good part of the night.
I headed back to WOD and the worst was about to take place. Up in the upstairs cast restroom we had spring a leak. I called it in right away, sent a hilarious snapchat to Brittany and alish of my life, and got it mopped up. I was over tonight and how slow time was going by.
The walk back to cast service was more than entertaining. Like why do you insist on turning on the sprinklers. This is not splash mountain I don't want to get wet!
Recently I have been coming home, make something to eat and watch tv. I guess I just don't believe in sleeping anymore.
Saturday November 8
Today I woke up and was in the "shoot I really need to finish packing" mode. I completely filled 2 huge suitcases with stuff to return home and it has gotten me real worried about not being able to get everything home in January. Someone needs to come get me with 2 extra suitcases. We can have a sleepover at the wilderness lodge!
I then worked some more on Jessie's shoes. Once again the morning went fast and I was off to dtd. I got zone 11. I mean it's not the best but it's not the worst.
It was a happening place tonight at downtown. It was also a cold night.
If I thought last night was horrible I was sorely mistaken. I can't even begin to describe how done I was with tonight. I did a trash run before my break. Then I got a call right after my break that I had overflowing trash cans. Happy concert night at house of blues. They were ALL full. So I rushed to get that done as well as all the bottles and cups around house of blues. Then I got a call for a code v on a bus. So I had to run my cart behind Disney quest still full of trash and run to the bus stop.
When I got there I seriously questioned why I rushed. It was no code v, just some baby spit up...
I am grateful that it wasn't vomit but still. Then to top off my night I got a call on my way back to disney quest saying the area around house of blues needed to be cleaned up, I was trying but was called for a code v.
I'm only one Sam and can't be at 2 places at once. Luckily they called west side support to take care of it. So I went back to my trash and of course the compactor was full.
There are times when I let the little things annoy me and get me worked up. Tonight was one of those nights. I just had to keep reminding myself that I was on night 5 of 7 and in 3 days I will be hanging out with Gma and kiss.
During my last break my manager came to the break room and gave me a fanatic card for being such a team player today. So that made my night a little better.
I headed out for the rest of the night. I did a trash run and then walked around. It was a little drizzly out but not enough for rain gear. I was walking around house of blues when I heard someone ask me if I was cold because I was wearing shorts. I turned around to see one of the dtd musical performers, Nicholas. I've only stopped to watch him I've never actually talked to him. I guess his set finished early because of the rain.
We talked for maybe 10 minutes about random things, work, the parks, the college program. He told me I was a very responsible girl who is going places, all because I don't go on the party busses like most of the CPs. I had to go do my last trash run and he was off to cheer his friend on at the food and wine marathon tonight.
The rain came down harder and I went to get my rain gear. I'm normally not against the rain, especially in Florida. But I do hate the rain when it's cold. And that's what it was today.
The walk to catch the bus was anything but enjoyable. It was rainy, cold and now I had to wait 25 minutes for the bus.
If life wore a magic band I would have been Mickey to Mickey with it all night.
I ended up getting home and going to straight to bed.
Sunday November 9
Today I woke up at 9:30 and did laundry. I put it in the washer, came back and feel asleep, put it in the dryer, came back and went to sleep.
With clean clothes I packed for my short vacation and finished up Jessie's shoes.
Brittany's vacation was over and she was back home. She was so sweet to get me a cake pop. She also told me how she kept running into Danielle and Adam and was surprised that me and alish weren't meeting up with them.
We watched the parent trap as Brittany told me about her dvc presentation she went to. She was all about finding a guy who has a membership and marrying him. Now she is all about investing into getting her own membership. She told me that it would be a smart decision for us with all our yolo trips and also that our parents never bought into it while they had the chance.
Then it was another day of work. It was a dreary day out and I was hoping that it wasn't going to another bad night at work. On my new walk from the dtd bus stop ma called me. She asked how everything was after reading my last post. Everything is totally fine. We then talked about Christmas and how she was trying to go about Christmas this year. It shall be an interesting Christmas and I’m personally just not trying to think about it.
Today I was zone 2. And I was so thankful for that.
Today I spotted 2 girls dressed up like Anna and Elsa with photographers. Go away Anna. So many kids actually thought they were them too. First off they aren’t even wearing the costumes, just wigs with random dresses and they are carrying around disney vera backpacks.
I finished my trash run and my walk around my zone and stopped and stood by pin traders. I was spotted, a nice lady came up and told me she liked my trip reports. This made my night! So thank you!
Thank god I was not zone 11 again tonight. I guess there was a code v and when the girl went to clean it up a manager over there called our manager saying she wasn't trained for cleaning up a code v correctly. So there was a whole big blowout over the radio on how us custodials don't have the updated training for code vs.
Tonight was so much better compared to the past 2 nights. At the end of the night 3 CPs came around singing to the music like they were the dapper dans. I joined them and we headed to WOD. It became a party in the WOD stockroom. Pretty much if the manager came to check up on WOD we would be all screwed. But that was not the case.
At 11 we all went our separate ways to close out our restrooms and do our last trash runs around our zones.
Tonight via Facebook I found out Olivia self termed herself and is leaving tomorrow. I texted Brittany right away and she had no clue either.
So I guess the roommates had a little goodbye party while I was at work.
I was starving and all I wanted was a grilled cheese when I got home. And apparently Brittany knows my life better than myself.
When I got home there was no party and there were strange guys in our living room with Meagan. Like it's going on 2am! Needless to say I didn't end up getting my grilled cheese and was a crabby Sam.
Brittany was catching up on Once Upon On Time, I only watched the first episode this season so I was lost. I remember the good days when I wouldn't miss an episode but now that Anna and Elsa have taken over I just simply lost interest.
