Got my planner!! Want to know about her

Hi everyone

I am so excited. I just got a voicemail from my planner. Of course it was the two seconds I was away from my phone.

I have Pamela Madic! Has anyone had her? Has anyone heard anything about her?

No complaints from me so far.

Her former assistant, who was awesome, answered all of my questions super fast and was very nice. She now has a new one. I called her on Monday to get her email address because I only had her phone number but she never called me back or emailed me. Luckily, Pamela answered my questions in a timely manner. But I still never heard back from the new assistant.

My planning session is next month so I can chat more then!

I have her, we are actually having an in person planning session with her in 3 weeks! She has been great so far, but then again we haven't had much contact so I can't fully say....but the interactions we have had have been just fine!

I guess. I dont know how to spell her last name because all I got was a voicemail from her.

I would really like to know how your planning session goes if you dont mind. I called her back right away and left her a voicemail to call me back and she never did and still hasnt. That was last Thursday . So I guess we will have to wait and see.

I have one more weriod request. Do you mind taking a picture with her so I could put a face to a name and voice

We got assigned to her right around the same time that you did. I have never actually talked to her. I sent back our planning kit about a week and a half ago and haven't heard anything from her. Not even a "hey, got your email." It sounds like she is very busy and is still being assigned lots of new brides!

She was very sweet and told me she will be leaving on maternity leave in about 2 weeks and will be gone til August, lol. Oh well, I'm not too worried since our wedding isn't til next April and of course we'll have a fill in planner until then.

Um, she actually didn't get to her last name so its totally possible there are two Pamelas. She also mentioned that it just depended on when the baby decided to come as well. She also said that she had lots of people covering for her too.

Pamela MATTACK will be out on maternity leave starting this weekend - I talked to her a few days ago and we are actually going in 1 week for our PS and she said unfortunately she will already be on leave, so we will be meeting with a fill-in planner that will be taking care of her brides through to August. ...Just to help clarify!

You would think she would send a note out to all of her clients who have planning sessions coming up with her! I just spoke to her 2 weeks ago and nothing was mentioned. I'm assuming it'll just be another planner at the session who will then just pass all the information on to her when she gets back.

I also have P. Mattick assigned as my planner. I must say I have been very disappointed with the whole process. I have only spoken with her once since we signed our contract in December. We have a planning session scheduled for 5/27 with her. I did not recieve replys from my emails until I complained to our Sales Consultant. When I did get a reply this last week she did not mention anything about maternity leave. I found out through the boards about her leave. I think Disney should atleast be contacting her brides to let them know who their "fill in Planner" will be. It's been a frustrating process.

Thanks for posting the information regarding the maternity leave. I think there are some of us that have planning sessions scheduled with her this month, so that is good information to have. Excuse my rant in the previous post. The time I did talk to Pamela she was very nice and energetic. I think the problem is the planners have too many Brides assigned to them. I was comfortable not having too much communication in the begining of the wedding planning, but now that i'm 6-7 months out, I would like to have a little more help from Disney with questions. I feel the same way! I spoke with her, as well, and I think I just freaked out when I read about it here first! I'm getting to the 6 month mark so I want more communication, as well!

Yeah, My planner is Pam Mattack too. My planning session is July 12 and I had no Idea that she will be out on maternity. That kinda stinks. I liked her assistant too (the one that recently moved on). Would anyone be willing to share her new assistants info? Congratulations and all to Pam, we will see how it goes for us!

Meri was our planner for our wedding in December 2010 and she was brilliant. I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about her. You are in excellent hands!
