I got a timeshare offer from Hilton so I ended up booking my accomodations for President's week Feb 2011 before getting flights. Not the way I like to do things. I've been watching for flights ever since. I was waiting for JetBlue to put up their February flights today at 10:00am like they said they would. Last night I was online and just happened to check out JetBlue's site and the Feb flights were already up and the reasonable priced flights were gone for my dates!!! GRRR!!! What are you going to do, so I hop over to Orbitz for a quick check before bed and what do I see??? I can't believe my eyes!!! American Airlines has non-stop round flights on my dates (Fri 2/18 back Sun 2/27)out of JFK into MCO for $179 (with fees) a seat!!! I quickly grabbed them!!! So, I'm all set. I was lucky!!! Let the countdown begin.

Great job! I am sofrustrated. I did the same thing last night only I hesitated and the flight is gone. I need President's wek only one way and the cheapest I am seeing from Ma is $190+

If you don't care about nonstops or you're willing to fly out of PVD or MHT then just wait for SWA to open up their schedule next month. Be ready to buy the moment they open because they'll go quick! I'm betting they'll start at $149 like they did the last couple of times they released the schedule.

That's what my husband said also-"wait a month for SW". I'm afraid to wait after watching these prices!!! I haven's booked yet but if I can get something decent on Trip Advisor or Kayak I will book soon.

Just wondering around what date next month you think they will open the schedule for feb 2011 presidents weekend. and we would rather fly out of manchester NH.

From Southwest's website:

"On August 17, we will open our schedule for sale through March 11, 2011. This date is subject to change! Please check back frequently."

I'm waiting for February too! :)

I would continue to check everyday despite what it says. Jetblue said the same thing and then put their flights up early.

What time do you leave JFK on Friday? I've been watching Sat-Sat and everything seems just short of 500 each!!! Great job!

We will be doing a YES program while we are there so at least well get cheap park ticket even if it costs and arm and a leg to get there:laughing:

Thanks!

We will be leaving at noon on Friday, 2/18/2010 from JFK, leaving MCO at 8:20am on Sunday, 2/27/2010. Perfect times for us. I don't really like going into NYC for the Airports (3 years ago we sat on the Henry Hudson for 2+ hours, only 10 minutes from LGA, because they closed the Whitestone bridge to truck traffic and we almost missied our flight and you can't reschedule flights on president's week), I really like White plains, but these were great prices and with a noon takeoff we should be able to get there without issue.

SWA has a long history of opening up schedules EXACTLY when they've publish on their website. If they say August 17, I'd put money on schedules opening up on August 17.

Well then, I guess they play fairer then JB. Good luck.

Last year, the date was Sept 1 IIRC, and I think they opened around 9AM. I remember it well, b/c I was at a meeting, and kept obsessively refreshing my browser! Got MHT/MCO for about 330 each for Pres Week--not bad.
