I saved $400 on the room and although we will now have to renew our AP, it will still save us $300 in the long run. (Plus we may have to plan another trip this year if we have the AP ::yes:: )

So you were able to make the ressie without an active AP or voucher???? We did not renew, but I am seriously considering it now.

Have a great trip!

Denise

I was able to book a room only with AAA last night for the AP rate of 89.00 including tax at POP without the pass or voucher. The agent at AAA just said to have at least the voucher at check in. This trip we will be staying 10nights and we will be back in December taking our two grand children (6 & 3 1/2) for the first time for 7 nights. We will purchase our ap's at SOG when we arrive

I do not currently have an AP, but the CM told me to make sure I had my AP at check-in. My DH is traveling down for a conference a week before we arrive and he will have taken care of purchasing his AP.

Previuosly we were only going to purchase tickets for all of us for our length of stay. Now with the AP he will even get to enjoy the parks for a few extra evenings before we arrive!!

I think this answers a question I posted in another thread. So you are saying you CAN get an AP room discount through AAA? I want to book a fall trip with AAA this weekend, but would love to have the option of converting it to a better AP rate if it comes out - it sounds like this is possible . . ???

Yes The Ta At Aaa Got Her Price For Me...then I Mentioned We Were Thinking About Getting An Ap And Asked Her To Check That Rate. She Seemed To Be Surprised That That Rate Was Lower And Asked Me If I Wanted Her To Book It. Ofcourse I Said No...only Kidding.....i Told Her Go Ahead Waiting For Her To Say You Need The Ap Now But It Worked And We Are In. I Never Mentioned My Dates On Here They Are March 22 - April 1st At Pop Then We Go On To Jax Beach To April 8th Have Family There. My Parents Bought Me The Aaa Membership In 1969 And Paid For It Every Year As A Xmas Gift. Upon There Deaths I Just Alway Renewed It.

That's fantastic! Thank you so much for posting this info! I am definitely booking this weekend with AAA - I will do room only and get 1 10 day park hopper for my husband and then just wait! If good AP rates come out (which I'm SURE I will hear about on this board!!!) I will go ahead and see if I can get a better rate. If not, I'll just get another 10 day park hopper for myself and off we'll go!! Thanks again and have a great trip!
