Got confirmation today - what does this mean?

I booked a room with the Florida Resident rate and got my confirmation today. Here is what it says:

Deposit due by Sat, 1/17/04

Remaining Package Amount due by 02/29/04 **No additional notices will be sent***

My dates are March 21 - 27. I have always paid my balance at check-in and I'm pretty sure they told me that the balance was due then.

Anybody else ever hear of this?

I have booked many times with the FL Res rate and have never had this on my confirmation so I was a little upset when I saw this on my confirmation.

I have heard that there is a difference between CRO and WDTC. Each has different rules about deposits and payments. We booked through WDTC (didn't know there were options) and we had to have our final payment in 45 days before check in.

If you booked a package, then they have a policy of deposit due within 14 days of booking and final balance dure within 21 days of arrival. If you have a room only, then the policy is deposit due within 14 days of booking and final balance can be paid at check in. CRO handles room only now and WDTC handles packages.

The policy now is anything over three days is considered a package even if you booked “room only”. Look on your ressie and see if it says “Package” and call CRO and get a clarification. We ran into this on our September trip and we are FL Residents. They straightened it out and we paid at check in.
