ETA: DH got answers, still frustrated, but at least knows he's not going to be lost if he goes on to Seattle and bag is still missing there.
(because I don't believe in erasing posts, I'll leave the following, but again, we know the answer!)
DH is in Minneapolis, just got off int'l flight. There is no later Delta flight, he's been told, going from where he's coming from to...either where he is or to SEA, not sure (so if it missed his flight, he won't get the bag until tomorrow). The person in Customs, telling him to leave the area even though he hadn't collected his bag, said that he "could go to the Delta gate and ask them to track it, but that this happens often, and it should arrive in SEA tomorrow".
But since he's supposed to be with the bag now, and...somehow check it through to his SEA flight (leaving in under 2 hours) ("somehow" meaning I do not now how these things work, don't know if he's just supposed to claim it in the secure area than it moves along, or if he gets possession, goes out to the agents, checks it in?...it was all with Delta, booked together), since he does NOT have it know, will he be able to fill things out in SEA?
I know that this is likely just a delayed bag. He is tired after a 10 day trip and is annoyed b/c I won't just let him be angry with Delta, and am trying to get info from him so, IF it ends up being more on the "missing" side rather than the "delayed" side, he isn't missing out on filling out the forms when he's supposed to.
So...should he go to the Delta agents and have them track it? Does he fill out forms there? Or is the person in customs where he was supposed to get/reunite/say hi to (don't know!) his bag correct, and he can do it all in Seattle, if it stays missing?
This is all so hard, because he has ALL of his clothes in that bag...well except for what he's wearing. He and I have very few clothes, and when we go on trips, it all goes with us. This sort of thing (and it happened on his second business trip, his bag being delayed) really messes him/us up, because we just don't have that many clothes.
