Got a planner!!

Well I finally got a planner!! It's Tanis Armstrong. I'm so excited!!

I don't have her, but my photograher (Misty) loves her and told me to request her. I felt like I was too last minute to make a request and I got Diane, who I like a lot.

I got an email on Thursday that I have also got Tanis! That email got me super excited!

I hope she is as good as I hear!

We had her for our wedding in Jan. She was great. Quick responses when you emailed her and always able to answer your questions.

I'm glad everyone has heard and experienced good things with her. I'm SUPER excited for everything now. (as if I wasn't before)

I have some questions all ready, of course. I want estimates on things that aren't in the planning kit she sent. Should I wait until we have our planning call with her and then the floral people? Or should I just go ahead and email her my questions?

I feel like I should wait for the phone call, but how long is that going to take to get here?

I got Tanis as well! She called on Thursday, but unfortunately I was in class and missed it. She left a voice mail, and she seemed really enthusiastic! She sent me an email with the planning kit as well. I'm really excited to have her- all of her reviews are very good!

Well, I've sent 3 emails already!! The 1st one being quite lengthy, with lots of estimate questions. We're paying for everything ourselves and seriously have to stay on a budget!!

Unfortunately the automated response email came back saying she'd be out of the office Monday due to a wedding. for me for someone else.

Oh well, we'll just have to wait and see!! I can be very impatient sometimes!

Tanis does take a few days to get back to you, and if she has to find info that you are asking for it may be a bit longer. But in the end she always responds quickly. I was very impatient also, and would try emailing the beginning of the week so that I would hopefully get a response by the end.

I have heard of some planners not being quick or up beat but not many. I was lucky when I was given Tanis.

we've got Tanis too!

We've not really had all that much contact with her tbh, but then we haven't had many questions to ask lol

She's already in my good books because we expressed an interest (more like a great desire in my case) to do a MK photo shoot and she quickly came back with dates and then quickly came back with a reservation.

We also had Tanis as our planner. She is amazing!!! Just wait until the wedding day and you will not have a worry in the world. She made us feel like we were guests to our own wedding. She is super organized and good with time schedules.

I never hesitated to email her any question I had and she was always quick to respond. I also really appreciated that automated email response because I always knew that when she came back into the office she would contact me as soon as she knew my answer.

Sometimes I would write crazy things in emails (nervous over-analyzing bride things) and she even called me a few times within minutes laughing with me about my wording.

By the wedding day I told her, and she agreed, that we felt like we already knew her.

We have Tanis for our VR next month. She seems very nice (only spoke to her on the phone a couple of times - have yet to meet face-to-face). She does sometimes take some time to get back to you - but like someone said earlier in this thread "it is Disney".

Hi all this may see silly, so I apologize in advance
When I called and inquired about having a wedding with Disney, the person who called me back was Bill. We are working with him now to get my LOA done, is he my wedding planner or do I get someone one else when the "other planning" starts like flowers and food?

That is not a silly question at all. We were first contacted by Kristi Davis (Senior Wedding Consultant) who gave us all the info and forms to complete and send back to her. When we did that she informed us that she would submit and our wedding coordinator would contact us after that.

As for flowers, we dealt with Rosie. Even if you want flowers on your cake you would order through her. So in the end we spoke with Tanis, our planner and than spoke with Rosie to confirm the flowers that we had picked out.

So I guess Bill may or may not be your planner.

That's not a silly question!! I was questions ALL the time. We worked with Bill on our LOA too. He's also a Senior Wedding Consultant. After you get all of that turned in and your deposit paid, you'll get a planner!
