Me getting louder and louder “Alexa, lights off!” I get angry, unplug it, replug, still won’t work so I use my phone. I’ll be damned if I use a light switch like a heathen. Turns out my kid turned off the switch. I mean, I’m glad she’s turning off the lights but use your voice assistant like everyone else!

This reminds me of the time my oldest and I had been running around. When you hit 15 miles an hour my doors auto lock but the driver’s side door will auto unlock when you pull up on the handle. We get home, I get out and she’s just sitting there. I go back and ask why she’s not getting out. She says, “You didn’t unlock the door.” Me, “Hit the button?” Her,Alexa pretty much controls my whole house. Lights, blinds, locks, TV, thermostat, etc.
If she ever goes on strike, I’ll be locked in my house with no lights
It happened AGAIN with my younger DD. I had to show her how to lock the door while I ran inside but I didn’t show her how to UNLOCK the door and so it took a minute to get me back in. Both of course knew how to do it but life is so automated now sometimes your brain just freezes up.
