Are you referring to the Goofy's Mystery event that was an annual Cast exclusive function?

I believe the event you are talking about is at Epcot.

I'll try and find the link where I read about it.

It is for kids and they can pick up something at Guest Services at Epcot and do the scavenger hunt while in the park.
