We have never bought anything from Goofy's Candy Co., so i was wondering how good some of their stuff is:

The Mickey Mouse Rice Krispie Treats. Are they yummy? Worth getting the toppings and all on them?

The slushies? Are those any good? I've been tempted to get them (in the character cups), but I am not sure. I don't know if they're anything like the ICEES you can get at a convinience store. Or if they might not taste good (I've had BAD slushies before).

The giant test tubes? I've heard that you can fill them with slushies, but what about candy? How much is one of those things? Are they a neat souvinier? I was thinking about getting one.....

Any other recommendations from Goofy's? I'd really like to know what's good there. Thanks!

The Rice Krispy treats are yummy, tho I think if you let them sit a couple of days they're even better. My favorite are the pretzel sticks!

The slushies are way over-priced and not very delicious. They're nowhere near as good as ICEES or Slurpies like from the 7-11.

Also, I surprisingly enjoyed a gingerbread cookie I got there, too. The toppings process is fun, and I definitely think it's "worth it." There's a mini-review with some pics if you follow the link in my sig! :hippie:

I love the dipped pretzels, dd loves the dipped marshmellows :)

I had one of the Rice Krispie treats two days ago. (I'm currently at WDW.) It was good, but there are definitely better items at Goofy's. (Let's face it--it's pretty difficult to "mess up" a RK treat, so unless you really have a craving for one, consider trying something you can't easily get elsewhere.) The cookies & cream cup (looks like Reese's cup but filled with cookies & cream confection & topped with an Oreo chunk) is wonderful. My husband swears by the peanut butter & chocolate fudge, and all of the specialty cookies I've ever had there were divine (carrot cake cookie stuffed with cream cheese icing!, white chocolate chunk & raspberry cookie, etc.).

I have to agree w/ some previous responses that the dipped pretzel sticks are by far some of the best treats at Goofy's. But, w/ that said, DS loves the long test tube thing you fill w/ powdered sugar, but you can get that at other places as well. He has also had a slushie, and I think the big draw w/ that is really if you buy the fancy cup. On our last trip DS did a create your own snack w/ a ginger break cookie and loved it! It really is all about preference though. As long as you go w/ something you normally like, you can't go wrong.

My BF got one of the slushies for a snack credit on DDP. I don't like any slushies but he said it was good. He was able to combine two flavors into one. I was going to get one of the dipped pretzel sticks as a snack credit but the CM cautioned me that you get one pretzel stick for one snack credit, which was not a good value, so I paid OOP. It was good!

I posted this pic in another thread - this is still my favourite treat to get at Goofy's!

I love 7-11 slurpees, but prefer the slushies at Goofys Candy Co. They have a more frothy taste to them and the flavours are really good, the blue one tastes like a blue freezie mmm

We were at Goofy's Candy Company a few years ago and it's one of our favorite places to shop in Disney. The slushies are good, pricey nonetheless, but I like them because they fill you up and cool you down. They're definitely a treat for me because I drink absolutely NO soda, sweetened tea, etc.

I don't eat candy but it's a great place to buy souvenirs for family and friends back home. I love to pick up a bag of, say, hard candy; it makes for a cheap, usable gift.

Can't comment about the rest of your questions but I wish I could. In June, I'm going to document in my trip journal the specifics, as I love the store! :thumbsup2

We never used to go into Goofy's until we started using the DDP (don't ask me why). Since we have a ton of snack credits at the end of our trip, we always go there to get some goodies. My kids love the dipped marshmallows, while I always go with a chocolate dipped strawberry . The slushies there are very good and you can even taste test the different flavors before choosing. On our last trip we went to Goofy's Candy Co. the first night and got a couple of things to have in our room so we can snack on them during the week (these we paid OOP). Enjoy!!! :goodvibes

This thread is nice and now I'm kind of bummed that we missed visiting Goofy's Candy Co. during our past trip. We went to DTD only once during our trip and that was after spending the day at AK. Because DTD Marketplace was somewhat crowded that evening and the kids were tired, we didn't do as much as we hoped and just basically went to the Lego Store, Once Upon a Toy, and let the kids ride the little train before hopping right back on the bus back to the resort. Definitely going to have to put Goofy's Candy Co. on our to do list for our next trip :thumbsup2

I was planning on doing Goofy's too last trip, but we ended up swapping a visit to Downtown Disney with a trip to HS. Next time we're defintely doing DTD (Most likely our next trip will be a week long) and I am defintely doing Goofy's thanks to what many have said!

I've grown up with slurpees from convienece stores. We used to do them every Friday as a treat, but I have not had one in forever it seems. I am defintely going to get one at Goofys and will do it in the character cups.

DS loves the long test tube thing you fill w/ powdered sugar, but you can get that at other places as well.
I meant the giant plastic test tubes, I think that they light up via a switch at the bottom. I've seen folks carrying them out of the store, using them to hold they baggies of candy that they've bought. They're huge, not the tiny kind that you fill with powdered sugar. I'm not sure if they still have them, but I remember seeing them on display somewhere in the store. They have the Goofy's Candy Co. logo on them.

I will defintely look for the specialty stuff. Thanks!

Any more ideas would be very helpful!

We often go to DTD on our first night. Mainly for dinner and just to wander around but it will include a trip to Goofy's. We usually wait until the end of our trip to buy things to take home. They will box it for you which makes it easy to carry home on the plane.

I love the toffee slab and the caramel roll. We also have had the fudge which was great and the pecan clusters. Last time I tried the macadamia clusters...they were good but the pecan cluster is better. Many times we have had the make your own treats....the winner with us is the pretzel rods. The kids have done the RK and the cookie as well. My DD gets the powdered candy in a tube...she loves it, it's her must have treat. I think next trip we are going to get one of the candy apples.

We are also big fans of Goofy's especially the pretzel rods!

We also love the cookies (the big heavy ones!) and I got fudge their for the first time last trip and it was sooooo yummy!

I also love the pretzel sticks. My DD loves the candy apples, you get to put whatever you want onto them.

I know this isn't super yummy or anything but if you want to use your snack credits here you can on most of the chocolate things behind the counter and also on the 10 inch unicorn swirl lolli pops. :thumbsup2

Personally, I love the slushies at Goofy's (and at the parks). I like Slurpees slightly more, but I definitely like the slushies more than Icees. The slushies at the parks have good flavors and I've never had a problem with drinking the syrup and having the ice remain (if anybody knows how that can be a problem with some icy drinks). Anyway, just my opinion, but I always get at least a coke and an orange slushie on every trip.

As for other snacks there, I am a big fan of the giant cookies and brownies. They are usually nice and soft.
