Goofy Proposes, Fi Falls for Sleeping Beauty & we Celebrate our Engagement NEW 6/18!

Oh no! Maybe I should cool it on the cliffhangers! :lmao: I'm so glad you're enjoying the report, though! It's nice to know I'm keeping my readers intrigued! :goodvibes

Dinner at Boma sounds so yummy! Miguel and I had lunch at Tusker House last year and it was soooo good. I've heard TH and Boma are kind of similar so I'm sure it's going to be great - although I bet Boma is even better than TH! :thumbsup2 Are you going to do a PTR or TR for you upcoming trip? If you do, let me know - I'd love to follow along! :goodvibes

I have been reading a few of the reports and I decided to go ahead and do a PTR....it might not be the best but it will probably be funny!

Come on over and join it...I will be adding more later today....breaks over at work! lol

Yay! :yay: I'm going over to check it out now!

Yep - sleet in Orlando! What a crazy winter the South has had!

I know! We hardly ever get any snow here in Atlanta - maybe just once a year, and even then its just a small dusting. But this year it snowed I think 4 times and one time we had like 4.5 inches! It was crazy!

You never know what you're going to get in fLorida..This past Winter was the worst winter we have had since I can remeber. We are really paying for it now though. Since Florida had such a cold winter, the pollen has been so bad. I usually don't have a problem with allergies, but the past 2 months have been the worst. I am glad you didnt get wet from the rain/sleet. You guys look like you are having so much fun! I can't wait to see the souvies!

That is so true! Every time I talk to my father he mentions how terrible the pollen has been.

We did have a lot of fun despite the weather - we were determined not to let it ruin our trip. The only day that it really did bother us was on our final park day. I'll be telling all about that of course in a future update!

What part of FL are you in?

It think the weather has been just horrible this past winter across the country. It's been the wettest winter in Tucson for a very long time. I know poor DH is almost killing over with the pollen that is in the air. Pollen you say? Yes, pollen in the desert! Ha!

I have to agree I would rather be cold than hot. Because you can't take off clothes to a certain point! Haha but at least you guys had fun! :laundy:

The egg rolls from Y&Y look yummy!

So sorry you were disappointed with the flatbread; it did look good. :rolleyes1

You got some great shots of the animals outside your room! :thumbsup2

Can't wait to see what your purchased at Downtown Disney! :yay:

I hope it wasn't Soarin' that disappointed! :scared1:

Wow - pollen i the desert?! I never would have guessed! We're definitely having our fair share here in Atlanta. Thankfully, I don't have any allergy problems with the pollen - but that doesn't mean it isn't causing problems at my house! A few months ago, I had the top portion of my driveway replaced. Well apparently they didn't do something right because the entire new part is cracking - it looks like mosaic tile! Well the other day we had this heavy downpour of rain all day. And due to all of the pollen that was sitting on the driveway, the heavy rains, and the cracks in the cement...I have an ORANGE driveway now! :scared1: No joke. :sad2:

The egg rolls were so good, and a great value for a snack credit in my opinion :thumbsup2 And thankfully Miguel enjoyed the flatbread so at least it didn't go to waste.

The animals were just breathtaking - that's only a small sample of the pictures I took that day. I probably have about 200 just animal shots! They were so pretty I just couldn't stop

What oh that sucks! I'm sure mixing with some GA red clay doesn't help either. I hope you don't have to pay to get it fixed since they didn't do the work correctly.

Yeah my parents have been telling me it's been raining like crazy over there! I hope next winter is much better when I go to see them. Nothing like leaving Lighting storms in the desert only to come to the parents house with a never ending down pour.

Yeah the cacti have flowers that are blooming right now so they are going everywhere cause it's really windy here like all the time! Then the mesquite trees are blowing their pollen everywhere and then the aloe vera and prickly pears the list goes on and on about what blooms here. Haha you'd think you would move here to get away from allergens but what really happens is if you don't have allergies and you move here you get them. And then if you move here and you have allergies they get worse cause the air is so dry. Thankfully I've only developed a food allergy since I moved here and not one to pollen and dust like DH. :P

It is so strange. I've never seen anything like it - I'm definitely the only one in the neighborhood with an orange driveway! :scared1:You know, I think we're just making up from the droughts we've had here in GA the past few years, because sometimes I feel like I'm in Seattle with all the rain!

Wow, so you developed a food allergy after you moved? What are you allergic to now?

Walnuts of all things! And I liked them. But they don't like me! I found out at IKEA. I ate a brownie with walnuts in it at the food court they have there. I was okay for like 15 minutes and then my ears started burning and I broke out in hives all over. My throat didn't close up or anything like that but I guess ingesting Walnuts is not a good thing for me!

You think so? I haven't lived in GA in over 4 years but my parents always say there is a drought going on. I'm like come over here with our water conservation laws and you'll know what a drought is haha. It always managed to rain when I went for a visit. And I'm sure this winter it'll rain while I'm home for Christmas.

I'm definitely the only one in the neighborhood with an orange driveway!

Makes it easier to direct company to your house......................;) Just kidding, I know that is aggrevating. Since it wasn't done correctly, will the company redo it at no cost to you?

That's so strange that you just developed an allergy all of a sudden. Thankfully your reaction wasn't life-threatening. Luckily I don't have any food allergies :thumbsup2

I'm guessing we have to officially be out of the drought now. For the past year it has seemed like it's rained so much. I'm sure that info is out there somewhere but I'm too lazy to look it up! :rotfl:

Oh, it definitely makes my house stand out! :lmao: Luckily though its only the top part of the driveway and it's not too noticeable from the street because I'm kind of up on a hill.

I really hope they redo it or fix it or something - the jury is still out on that one...:sad2:

DAY 6 – Pt. 2

After our flight on Soarin', we were feeling pretty hungry and decided to make a stop at Sunshine Seasons for some lunch. We always manage to end up at in the Land right at lunch time, so eating here is kind of a tradition for us. We have never been disappointed in our meals at SS. This is another place where I really feel like you get a lot of value for your CS credit.

I ordered the half chicken with rice and mashed potatoes. Apparently I was feeling quite carb happy that day! In reality, I think it was that I knew our trip was ending in a couple of days and it would be back home to start the wedding diet!

I don’t remember the exact name of the dish that FI chose, but it was from the Asian station and was some kind of chicken with noodles. He said it was very good, as was my chicken!

As you can see in the above picture, for dessert we chose the crème brulee (me) and the strawberry shortcake (FI). Oh my goodness, these were so good! That’s the other great thing about Sunshine Seasons, the desserts there are excellent and they are huge! Plus there’s a pretty big variety to choose from. I might even have to say that these were the best desserts we had all week! :thumbsup2

As we were finishing up with our meal, a nice CM came by and offered to take our picture (and clear off our plates)! It turned out to be one of my favorites from the trip!

After our yummy lunch, we decided to head upstairs to watch the Circle of Life movie in the Land.

Neither of us had seen this film before – and a little time off your feet is always nice! We waited about 10 minutes before being let into the theatre, and then settled in to enjoy the show. I thought it was pretty cute – and it did have a good message. FI was kind of meh to it. I think now that we’ve seen it once there’s no need to watch it again. :lmao:

We then left the Land and headed back towards the front of the park. We decided to duck into Mouse Gears since it was still raining (not too heavily, but enough to be annoying, you know). Plus, I never pass up an opportunity to shop!

Of course, we had to try on some more hats! I think we’ve now tried on every hat at WDW!

After leaving Mouse Gears, we decided to do another round of our front of the park favs – TT and MS, before heading out for the afternoon.

Unfortunately, our ride on TT was disappointing this time around! Our car had no sound and it really took something away from the ride. I’m not sure if it was just our car, or all of them, but it definitely made TT a little less exciting. :guilty:

Moving on to MS, I believe I sat this one out and just let FI do a quick ride on the orange version. One flight into space per day is enough for me thank you!

When FI completed his ride, we decided to head on back to the resort. We knew we would be back later in the evening for Illuminations and we were ready to take a break from the cold and rain (sleet)!

UP NEXT: The most stressful evening of our trip!

The strawberry shortcake looks delish! (I must confess, I've never tried creme brulee.)

Great picture of you and Miguel! :goodvibes

Oh, no, a stressful evening at Disney? :sad2:

I agree it had a good message but I think I could have lived without watching the movie. When we saw it, it was more of an excuse to get out of the rain!

The strawberry shortcake was so good! :thumbsup2 And you've never tried creme brulee?! :scared1: It is probably my favorite dessert. You must try some when you're back at Disney. I've heard the creme brulee at WPE is amazing :thumbsup2

 Yeah, definitely not our favorite attraction of the trip! But its nice to try something new. Although I will say, as I was sitting there watching it I thought that there were some parts that might scare little kids!

Hi Courtney!! I'm all caught up!! I enjoyed seeing all of your pics from AK and Epcot! And I cannot believe it was sleeting while you were there! YIKES!! I hate that your TT experience left a lot to be desired--that's no fun! Oh--and loved your pics from AKL of all of the animals!! WOW!

Yay! Glad you're all caught up! :goodvibes I know if I even miss a couple of days here it seems like I get so behind and it takes me forever to catch up on what I missed - so I think you're doing great to be catching up so quickly! :thumbsup2

I'm glad you've enjoyed all of the pictures! I couldn't believe the sleeting either! I seriously thought my eyes were playing tricks on me! Never would I have imagined seeing ice in Florida!
