Goofy jacuzzi question!!

We are headed to OKW on July 31st for 8 nights in a 2 bedroom! I'm thinking after the super hot days in the parks, we might be using the jacuzzi as a cooling
pool instead of a hot tub! I'm wondering what people use to clean the jacuzzi
tub with. I don't remember ever seeing a cleaning agent in the villa! Thanks
for helping me plan for those relaxing jacuzzi coolers!

One of the best things is to pour some vinegar into the tub and fill with water and run the jets. You have to rinse well, but it is a great natural cleaner.

For the sake of convenience I use some dishwasher soap and run it through the tub for 10 minutes or so.

To repeat what Jean posted. Use Dishwasher, not dish washing soap.

Using dish washing soap will cause you to get a new room.

It's hard to stay in a room filled with soap bubbles.

Auto dishwasher detergent works well because it has a lot of bleach in it, and that is what kills the mold that grows in the jets when then they aren't used enough. I always run the a full tub with dishwasher detergent, and then another full tub to rinse it. I do the same thing at home, except that I use bleach at home.

Actually, as the Industrial Hygienists say "Dilution is the solution to pollution." Just add a little more water to the tub.

I alos always run the dishwashing powder in the jacuzzi with the hottest water I can get, then another run of clear water to rinse.
I do this as soon as I get to the room so I can get into the tum later in the evening or the next day. If you wait till you need the tub then it won't be as clean as you want.
the jacuzzi tub is the only tub in a one bedroom so I use this tub to give my grandson a bath. I want to make sure it is clean before I put him in it even though I don't turn on the jets for him. Stuff still is in the jets and can drain into the tub while he is in it.
They have non foaming cleansers in the stores for cleaning jacuzzi tubs because I have a jucuzzi tub at home, but who wants to carry that with you from home?

Thanks for all the responses! One more detail under control! I love planning the details of the trip as much as the trip itself...well, maybe not AS much, But the planning sure does help pass the days till the trip! I love my DVC!!!!!

I am leaving 30 days for our first visit home and I was curious about the jacuzzi tub so I did a search and came up with this thread. I got a laugh from it and I appreciate the great info. Is there anythng else that you pro's would recommend for a rookie family like ours to pack in our suit case or order in out grocery delivery??
