Goods To Go... No More???

I saw that you can no longer get food to go from Goods to Go. Is that just food from Olivia's? This will be my time at OKW and we were planning on getting some breakfasts and a fwe lunches from Goods To GO and bringing them back to them room. Can we still do that? How is the food anyway? Are there outrageous lines there in the summer? TIA

Goods To Go just served your basic sandwich/chips kind of meals. Very basic. We got sandwiches from them a few times, no big deal. Truthfully, it was more of a pain than a pleasure because the birds just tortured you for a piece of bread. I'm not really surprised they are closing because I never really saw that many people getting food there.

You will get better food at Olivia's (definitely one of Disney's BEST restaurants). However, to your point, I don't know if Olivia's will serve food "to go", but I bet they will. They are extremely accomodating there.

I read on these boards or on allearsnet.com that you can't get food to go anymore from either of those places. I know what you mean about the birds! I got 2 hot dogs in frontierland a few yrs ago near the turkey cart. I turned around to walk back to the porch (when DH and DD were sitting) and not 2 seconds later I was attacked by 2 big white birds! They stole the hot dogs right out of the buns..both of them! They should warn people about those birds!

Can't seem to find much info on "goods".

Can anyone confirm if it is open or closed?

Will they have any kind of grab and go breakfast item?

If not, is Port Orleans within walking distance of Old Key West? I like Olivia's but don't always want to have a sit down experience!

As far as I know, Goods to Go is still open and you can get burgers, chicken fingers, etc. there as well as quick breakfast items. Maybe it has been confused with Turtle Shack which is reported to be closed.

At our last trip, Olivia's was not doing "to go" items. We used to order take out from them at least once per trip, so we were a little surprised at the change, but my guess is that it is related to the DP.

In May, after the Turtle Shack was reported closed, DH got lunch there twice. They did say they only had refrigerator items (he had a tuna salad sandwich), no grill items, such as hot dogs, hamburgers, and onion rings. Anyone more recently back with news?

I'm pretty sure they mean you can't get food from Olivias to go from the Goods stand... there was a sign stating that fact when I was there in June.

You used to be able to order items from Olivia's menu from Good's since they share a kitchen.

You may no longer get Olivia's meals to go, only Good's meals.

Think it has more to do with the dining plan TS vs. CS meals but JMO.

I believe, in order to get Olivia's to go you must sit down, order & wrap your leftovers. No ordering to go at the desk AFAIK.
