Ghiradelli would make sense since it's from San Francisco (I think!) and it's already at Florida's Downtown Disney so there's a Disney link.
We always stop by to get free tortillas - but NEVER MIND the free tortilla's - the awesome virtual miniature family display!!!!! Too cool to get rid of !
In southern California? Ummm pretty much anywhere.
Back to the topic, I wonder when the Ghirardelli's will be opened? We're going in July (I'm certain it won't be open then, but the wife and I are considering PAPs this year).
We love going to the Ghirardelli chocolate store and soda fountain when we're in Florida. This is the one thing I miss when we're at DLR. I'm sorry for you folks who like the free tortillas, but I'll take the free Ghirardelli!! I hope it will be open by September!!
Our Chevy's makes them fresh while you watch on a big machine. Also, I'm partial to La Tortilla Factory anyway. I know the owners and LOVE their tortillas.
And yes, you can get chocolate anywhere, but GOOD chocolate is hard to find. Don't get me started on Russels or Palmers!
Booooooo!! That makes me sad. My son loves to get an afternoon snack at the tortilla factory. Ghiradelli is everywhere now. And, I don't really care for their chocolate.
Chocolate?!!?
YUM!
Isn't Ghirardelli based in San Francisco? Or that's one of the main places it first opened up? Something like that....
So it would fit in well over there by the Boudin place too
Good riddance! It was a waste of space anyways. Although I don't see why they need to open another factory tour, even though it is chocolate :YUM! The decalifornication continues! yay!

Uh... Ghiradelli? totally an iconic Californian company. So... not so much with the decalifornication.
And while I'm ambivalent about the change myself, I will say one of out best moments in DCA this trip was when a teenager near us shouted to his friends, "look! The tortilla ride!" and went dashing off toward Mission.
Our friend Al Lutz posted on the "other" site today that the entire Mission factory will be extended and refurbished into a replica of the San Francisco factory, complete with brick facade and neon "Ghiradelli" sign. There will be factory tours, a chocolate shoppe, and a soda shoppe.
