Goodbye to Mission

Anyone else planning a goodbye trip to Mission this weekend? I think my teen will be sad to see it go. We were at the resort Fri and Sat but didn't head over. We'll go visit on Tuesday to get our final tortilla.

People say that it is closing but none of the CMs have confirmed this. Also rumor has it that tomorrow is the last day. I never took the tour but am still sad to see it go.

So I'm new and confused. Is it closing? Or is this a joke of some kind? What does this mean??? (We would be awfully disappointed if it closes. We love those fresh tortillas!)

The rumors flying around Disney message boards is that a big chocolate maker is supposed to move in. Ghiradelli,if I'm spelling that right, is the one I see mentioned.

I would prefer it stay Mission. There is plenty of chocolate to be found in the parks already!

I went on the tour on my last trip and those fresh tortilla's were incredibly tasty. However I could see a chocolate place being a bigger draw and Ghiradelli's is well known for having both tours and free samples.

If true this is a disappointment. We go there every time we are at DCA, and we have AP so we go a lot. DD11 is always looking forward to her free tortilla.

We'll be there Thursday so I'll check when we are there. Hopefully they're still going to be giving out free samples of the sourdough bread.
