Goodbye to Mission

I really loved the tortilla factory as well but I LOVE the ghiradelli ice cream shop in DTD at DW so I am excited if they have this. Don't care as much about the chocolate as you can pretty much get that anywhere but the ice cream sundaes are YUM! I live in Nor cal and we try and go to the Ghiradelli factory everytime we are in SF. And we love the one in DW also. So I think that will be fun to have but I am curious if they will still have Burrbank and some of the other ice cream options in DCA? I guess you can never have too many ice cream options but just wondering how that will affect those. I know in carsland they mentioned having a soda fountain as well. It will def be interesting that's for sure.

RIP Mission Factory. I'm disappointed. I don't think I even have a picture of DD in front of the building with her tortilla. Bummer.

Awww we never went on the tour! I was going to make it happen this upcoming trip! I hope the Ghiradelli shop is open by then, November??? Anyone think it'll happen that fast??

Ghiradelli!!! Heck yeah. Now I'm going to have a hard time not getting chocolate. Fudge. Why do I have to be lactose intollerant?

Jessica, have you tried Lactaid pills? I'm lactose intolerant too. But I'll occasionally indulge after popping a pill. Especially if it's Ghiradelli's!

Oh, yeah! Me too! Already I take one so I can have a waffle cone there at DL or DCA. I just make sure I don't have a double scoop. No point in pushing my luck!

Now that you mention it, I always thought it was a bit disappointing that you couldn't buy something made with tortillas. At least a quesadilla or something. It always made want something else.

I always felt the same way. Especially when they had a woman demonstrating all these wonderful looking dishes using tortillas at the end. Give me a sample of THAT or let me buy an appetizer size of it - Geesh!

No chocolate for me, so I am a bit bummed. But I am sure it will be popular.
