I noticed on WDW website for the past several times I've been on it, it has been Hollywood. Now I know for sure that its official. I will still call it MGM since it's what I'm used to!
I'm just a bit ticked off at the lack of fanfare. I was told that no ceremony would take place but still had my hopes up this morning when I went, and... nothing, the map has the new name but it's still with the pic of lights, motor action, you can barely see the difference. I believe this is a big deal, I'm just dissapointed that Disney doesn't really put on any big productions for anything anymore. I mean even the Epcot's 25th wouldn't been anything if a kid from High School wouldn't have organized something in the beginning.
I miss the day when fireworks used to go off for a new attraction like Test Track.
One thing is to economize but come on...
P.S. I rode The Great Movie Ride and they have new costumes, personally I preffered the old ones.
Last month when I was on the Great Moive Ride at 1st I thought it was the wrong type of Cast Member in our car who was our guide, then I realized their costumes had changed.
Also this is just my opinion but it's good to see the way the Disney's Hollywood Studios is written, because it looks to be the exact same way they spelled Disney's MGM Studios.
