It's november 11, right? not december 11, right? or am I wrong here...did a month fly by and I didn't realize it?

we headed to the mall today to pick up a few items and the crowds were ridiculous. I haven't seen anything like that since last christmas. and santa...yes, santa, was there. didn't he used to show up after thanksgiving?

reminds me why I rarely go to the mall. ugh. anyone else have santa at their mall already?

Yep, I took DD to work early so we could go to a few stores, have lunch. There Santa was.....I couldn't believe it. He did used to come the day after Thanksgiving. And it was really crowded....musta been the Veteran's day sales. I haven't seen it that crowded in a long time. Glad I am not doing much shopping this year (kiddos are all older, and their 'toys' are more expensive, so they are limited to only a few things.) I just can't stand riding around looking for parking, and getting 'malled' as DH calls it. Maybe one or two more trips to the mall. It is getting so much more convenient to go once or twice, and order everything else online.

I'm sitting here in the nice comfort of my recliner with my laptop Christmas Shopping for my son right now.

Yep... I refuse to go to the malls after Thanksgiving so I decided to run up today to get a few Christmas presents.. it was like it was the weekend before Christmas already!! Crazy!

BREAKING NEWS!

We interrupt this thread or a breaking news story. It's official. Effective Nov.1 2006, there will no longer be a Thanksgiving Holiday. It has been reported that from now on, we will have Halloween, and immediately following, go right into Christmas.

:sad2: :sad2:

I guess the 4 weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas is no longer enough time for shopping and decorating. Remember the days when we didn't see a thing about Christmas until the day after Thanksgiving? It won't be long before stores will have their Christmas stuff out in August!!!!!!!

We stopped in at the notoriously most insane mall in our area during the holidays (Mayfair for my fellow Milwaukee residents) and it was pretty packed already. This is a mall that I will completely avoid for the next 6 weeks. My DH spent 1 hour in the parking lot trying to leave a few years ago during December. It's insane! They did have Santa there but he wasn't very busy. I don't mind the early stuff truthfully. I love Christmas AND Thanksgiving and there's not a whole lot that people "do" as far as shopping for Thanksgiving so I don't mind the malls going directly to Christmas. ::yes:: In fact a radio station started their 24/7 Christmas music today and I love it! :goodvibes:
