"Goodbye from the world's biggest polluter."

As they say " You get what you vote for!" Wish we did not have to take him back in Texas.

Hey, very seldom do I take anything posted personally, but in this case...I didn't vote for him!

just kiddin' ya, bimshire. ;)

It is abundantly clear whenever he opens his mouth that he does not possess critical thinking skills. I wonder if Jesus told him to say that:)

:lmao:

I am curious, is there any question that he actually said "goodbye from the world's biggest polluter" ?

It was such a selfish ignorant assinine thing to say. Embarrasing, really.

Well, the Telegraph is a reputable newspaper - a bit conservative (hence the nickname "Torygraph") but a decent read and generally reliable.

I think President Bush embarrasses this nation every time he opens his mouth. I can't wait till he's gone.

Thank you - I knew he was capable of such arrogant and assinine and generally counterproductive statements, but I thought this one was even beneath him. Sadly, I guess I was wrong.

I have no idea, this was the first I heard of it. If he did, then I wonder why it wasn't pasted all over the news here?

I am somewhat skeptical - but it doesn't seem to be disputed.

If it was a closed session, there might not be video to back.

But if he did say it, I am disgusted.

Then THAT would indeed make us a huge polluter. Then we have the "acid rain" producer on the Big Island of Hawaii. It spews out sulfuric acid by the ton. Maybe Al Gore can find a way to cap them. ;)

Perhaps Al Gore would have Rush sit on the volcano! :rotfl2:

I was thinking along the lines of VP Gore finding a way to cap Limbaugh. We could do without all the hate spewing as well as the acid rain.

Seriously, it would NOT suprise me if George Bush has said something this stupid. Another poster said they found him smart for an American. That's just the problem. The rest of the world measure us by our leader. January 20, 2009 can not come fast enough. sigh

I do see quite a few very stupid people (Americans!) on a daily basis. I think our country is getting stupider. Sorry if that is too blunt but I don't know how some people function on a daily basis with what I've seen.

You surprise me.
He always seems reasonably smart to me.
For an American.

ford family

Actually you surprise me. I'm shocked and amazed that anyone would think he's intelligent at all. He got into his ivy league school because of daddy's pull, and we know he certainly didn't have top grades. I find his limited vocabulary to be very embarrassing to this great nation. It's pretty much proven fact that he didn't get where he is today because of anything he did himself. Carl Rove created his image, but IMO, he failed miserably.

Uh, yea.:rolleyes1

This was interesting from that article;

Mr Bush, whose second and final term as President ends at the end of the year.........

I guess as long as the story is pretty close to right, that's really all that counts.

I guess it could just be another example of two countries separated by a common language.
