hello!! any advice for a good time to make a ressie for at the crystal palace for breakfast? we are staying at the BC and want to account for transportation as well as getting into the parks early enough.

thanks so much.

My advice is to make an 8am ressie...the earliest possible at the CP....Make sure it isn't an EMH morning though...book it for a regular morning with a 9am rope drop. You will be done with your meal and be the first at the rope with your little ones to fantasy land. Any later than 8.10am and you might not make rope drop and making rope drop is essential if you don't want the lines in fantasy land!

How are you planning on getting to the MK...My advice..take a cab to the CR or the grand floridian...and then monorail (or walk) over to MK. trust me this is the quickest and least stressful option for an early morning ressie..:)

An alternative is to have a "late" breakfast...10.30am ressie...then yu get to be at 9am rope drop and do all of fantasy land before your breakfast at CP.

thanks for the advice. was planning on taking the bus, but maybe that would be difficult. don't know when the resort busses start running in the am. how much would a cab cost from the BC?

thanks again.

I think it would be around $15 for the taxi but Iam not sure....Use the buses the rest of the time ..but to get to an early ADR..I'd always take a cab...Its so less stressful..and don't take the cab to the TTC at the MK...take it to the grand floridian (if you want to monorail)..or the Contemporary( quick 5 min walk)....Then when you leave the MK you can take the bus ..but not be worrying about waits and drop offs like in the early morning.:)

thanks again. the more tips i can get the better especially travelling with a 2 and 3 year old!! plus we are meeting up with family which will be a group of 12! our other character breakfast will be nice and easy at the BC; right at our resort!!

any ideas for timing dinner reservations? planning on coming back to the resort mid-day for a break/nap and then heading back out again.

Cabs are very easy and cheap....But the buses will be running for the early ADR if you want to save a few bucks...

We love to get the 8:05 when a park is openning at 9:00...One our is plenty of time to eat and get ready for park openning...

We make it for 9:30 when a park is openning at 8:00...We hit a couple of rides then eat...This has worked well for us at MK at AK.

You sound like you have a very good plan..:thumbsup2 ...Especially as you have two toddlers.

We always make rope drop..enjoy the park with no lines and normally leave around 12-1pm to go back to our resort..(BC for us last year and next year!)

We then rest/nap or swim ..(normally noone naps as my kids are older) just hanging out in the AC is a great reviver...and stormalong bay is fantastic.

I have found its good for my family to book dinner ressies around 6pm...your little ones might wnt to eat earlier?

We've done the 8:00 seating at Crystal Palace so that we have Main Street basically to ourselves on a non-extra magic morning and it is terrific. We have also gone to extra magic hour morning and then done breakfast around 10:30 before they switch over to lunch. If we had a preference, especially with little ones, we would pick the 8:00 seating.

We did an 8.05 seating and it was perfect to get some pics of the castle whilst it was empty in the park and we were finished to walk straight to Fantasy land when the park opened at 9am.

x

thanks and thanks again for all of your tips. my husband thinks i am crazy, but i want to have this trip well planned out. :thanks:
