Hi everyone!!!
We're Honeymooning in WDW in Dec. 02, we booked the land/cruise pkg...on the cruise (it's our first cruise for the both of us), we chose Cat. 5 rm 7518, which is in the front of the boat...is that a good location or should we change it...we have until Oct. 13 to make any changes...thanks everyone!!:p

I have "heard" that the front of the ship (Forward Section) receives more movement than the middle or rear (Aft Section).

We have always been on level 5 AFT with veranahs's (both open and navigator), so I can't say much. I do take bonine to prevent seasickness - but sleeping at night is HEAVENLY!

I have been all the way forward on Deck 8 in a Cat 4 and didn't have any problems with motion. We did have calm seas and we are not prone to motion seasickness, though.

The ship is the length of three football fields, so individual waves are not going to be able to rock the ship that much forward-to-aft. Therefore, there is, IMO, no noticeable difference between forward, aft, and midships.

My only comment about your room is that there's a connecting door to an adjoining room. If your neighbors are loud talkers, you'll be able hear the gist of their conversations. You might want to move to a room that doesn't have a connecting door.

We often stay in the front of the ship in the secret porthole rooms on deck 5, and we have never noticed excessive motion. It's a very convenient area (to remember where things are in general, forward = fun, like the nightclubs, theater, and spa, and aft = eat, i.e. the restaurants).
I fully agree with Dave...I would try to avoid an adjoiner. We were in one once, and we were next door to the "kick boxer" kids who enjoyed slamming each other into the door.

Hi Everyone again,

Thanks for all the postings, my fiance and I are going to call Disney again to try and get a price for a single suite in Cat. 4 or 3 on deck 8...we keep changing our plans, I think we're driving Disney crazy with all these changes, but they've been SO patient so far!

If the upgrade is out of our budget, we'll be happy with the forward part of the ship...thanks for all the tips!:Pinkbounc

One other question...with PALO, we have "PS" through our Honeymoon Pkg...but Disney didn't allow us to make reservations just yet...do we have to wait until we get ON the ship first?

Thanks everyone!:Pinkbounc

I don't think you have to upgrade to make a room change, unless your category is sold out. Just ask them what other rooms are available. Be sure to ask where the rooms are located, what is above and below them, and if they are adjoining. Good luck! Diana
