We are doing an intimate wedding and will have around 10 people including us at the wedding. Since disney does not provide a reception we are trying to figure out where to eat. We welcome all ideas or reviews from past vists. I have been told that you cant eat in the parks unless you have tickets. Another person told me you can if you tell disney they can arrange it. So if eating outside the parks is what we have to do to avoide buying tickets for everyone then we will do that. But we are looking for a place that has variety i guess you would say. Something that has steak, and chicken and other entrees as well. Fish is ok as long as they have steak and chicken too. Just dont want to pick a resturant that has really bad food (read bad reviews of rainforest cafe before but cant find reviews of the others) or is not set up to handle guests in a party of 10.
Thanks for the help

Have you looked at any of the Grand Floridian or Poly and Cont. resturaunts? They have fab. food! And you don't need Tickets to get in! We're actually considering Citricos, at GF, for our wedding dinner at. And having the Rehersal Dinner at Ohanna's at the Poly. Well, good luck on whatever you decide! :thumbsup2

I would suggest Jiko at AKL. The food there is fabulous. They have a private room, but I dont know what the minimums, etc would be for using it.

We're doing ours at the Artist Point at the Wilderness Lodge. We're working with Vickie and she is more than wonderful! Hope this helps :goodvibes

I am doing the same thing...except working with Vickie... :)

We are getting married at the WL, having dinner and then going on a private fireworks cruise that leaves right from the WL marina...

All the best!

O-ha-na!! lol. We had our dinner at 'Ohana and it was great. Pretty casual though, but a TON of FUN. Otherwise, Jiko (as hmgolden recommended) is a GREAT idea. The food is AMAZING. I would return in a heartbeat!

Hi All,

Having a similar problem but I think that is due to our wedding time being slightly akward really we are due to get married at 2:30 and have been told by our coordinator that no restaurants will be open around 4 pm so any suggestion would be extremely helpful.:)

Thanks

Hi Nicci,

I am getting married at 3pm at the WL, then the pics and dinner is at 5:30pm at Artist Pointe...I figured if there is time left, we will have cocktails at the lounge...or just enjoy the sights...

We ate at O'hana's at the Polynesian resort and it was wonderful. Lots of steak and chicken, shrimp etc. All bbq'd. There are party games, you can see Cinderella's castle & fireworks.

Also I believe the Yachtsman steakhouse at the Yacht & Beach club is very nice too.
You don't need to buy park tickets for any of the hotel restaurants.
They wouldn't allow you in the parks either with your wedding dress on, just in case you didn't know.
Good luck choosing.

Thx girls!

Was thinking that the gap between would be boring for people so was panicing about it.

All my guests except 1 are over 21 yrs old but my fiances niece will be with us and I was wondering
- do they have a nice cocktail bar in the YC where we can go and would they let us with our niece she is a very mature 7 yr old
- If not can anyone make any recommendations pls?

Thanks again

Nicci

ilovemymac - citricos at the grand floridian is very nice & they also have a private room. you can look at their menu http://www.allearsnet.com/menu/men_cit.htm or work with the restaurant to have a custom menu.

disneyb2b - there's ale & compass at the yacht club & marthas vineyard at the beach club which are cocktail/appetizer lounges.
