I have a reservation for BWI w/water view for the 3rd week of April... the rate is $328 (with tax). Is this a good rate or should I try to do better? Thanks!

Usually, with the AP discount, the BWI is around $189 a night for standard view. But, if you don't have AP's then I guess that is an OK rate. Have you checked www.mousesavers.com???

What are your dates? We are checking in on April 22 and our rate with a code is $219 plus tax. It is actually a little bit better price than the AP rate. The season changes on April 21 from Peak to Regular so the rack rate is a bit less. Also most of the discounted rates, codes, AP etc begin on April 21. From your post it sounds like you have a bit of a discount for your stay if it is during Peak season and discounts at that time are few and far between.

My rate was booked with the CIF code... we are staying April 21 -April 28. I called about the AP rate and was told by the CM that the AP code (CFQ) and the CIF code are exactly the same rate.

So I guess my question is... if the AP rate for BWI with water view is $328 (including tax)... can I find a better rate? Or should I just be thankful that I found THE DIS website and learned enough that I'm not paying rack rate for a Disney Package anymore? Thanks !

Sorry HookedOnDiz, when I read your post I did not notice the "waterview" . From everything I have seen you have a great rate...it is $100 off the rack rate of a waterview at BWI.Our room is a standard...it is what we had last November and it was the first time I did not pay for a waterview and took a chance at just a "regular" view and we were very happy. I do not want to confuse you but our room had a view of the Spaceship Earth and Illuminations each evening. Wherever you are in this resort...it is beautiful!! We'll be there right along with you!

Be Thankful!! :lol :lol That is always what I say to myself. ;) When we stayed at the BWI back in 98 we paid the rack rate because we had NO clue about discounts. Boy I could just kick myself!!! ;)
Have a great trip! The BWI is my favorite resort (so far). ;)
