Hello,
I'm planning a trip for February 2022, depending on when my kids will be able to get the vaccine. There are 7 of us, staying for 2 weeks so the off site suite style hotels are most appealing. I would like a kitchen and 2 bathrooms.
I heard a while ago that Good Neighbour hotels have the same perks as the Disney resorts. But with all the changes lately; I can't seem to get a straight answer. Do G.N hotels get early magic hours or extended hours? How does it work with the Genie ride bookings? Do they offer transportation to the parks? Is it reliable?
Any info is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Good Neighbor Hotels do not get any Disney perks. No extra or extended hours, no advantage on the Lightning Lane bookings, no advantage on ADR bookings. They are only called that because they meet certain Disney required standards like AAA Approved, shuttle service, etc.

So yes they should have a shuttle service though it may be limited, need reservations and cost a fee. Also it may only go to Epcot and you have to transfer. You need to look at each member as to what they provide.

Anyone can use the Genie+ service, best info on how it works is on Disney website.

This is the Good Neighbor hotel website.

Lol the "Good Neighbour" label is so pointless now.
Thank you for your help.

Yes. They have never offered any perks or extras. They just want the Disney stamp of approval and I think some offer a Disney Package .... nothing more than you could do yourself.

Ironically many places that are not Disney approved offer better amenities and services, at great rates.

For suites style with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen hotel Sonesta ES is VERY close to Disney Springs. Lots walkable around it and even walkable to Disney Springs. It is a Good Neighbor.

Agreed. Just booked my first Good Neighbor hotel and there's not much of an added benefit except for the fact that sometimes the Disney packages are cheaper than buying at rack rate. Doing a comparison of 5 Good Neighbor hotels for an upcoming trip, only 1 offered a free shuttle and it had 3 departure times in the morning and final pick-up at 7:50PM for Magic Kingdom. Not sure how they determined those hours.

They offer a shuttle so they check the box, even if the shuttle is of little value.

Outside of Disney Springs I likely wouldn't book at a hotel depending on the shuttles. I'd budget in some Uber money.

All you get with Good Neighbor is Disney IP themed walls in the Good Neighbor hotel.

You may get a bus that goes 3 times in the morning and 3 times back at night but even that is suspect. The place I recently stayed only has the bus running Fri-Mon
