Hopefully it wont! DH is getting stitched up big style! He's a lecturer on a degree course, and their whole department is getting "re structured!" which basically means they have to apply for their jobs, but under a new job descriptions, which means either much more work or less pay! Don't think they even have the option of a decent 'pay out'.
Once we're over there, I'm sure we'll forget about everything and try to relax! Got loads of golf planned and a trip kayaking with the manatees... I'l have to start doing press ups to strengthen my arms!!
Keep the great threads going, Tony. You are brightening every one's day.

Fab news, Tony! There's nothing quite like having a WDW holiday on the horizon...


So sorry to hear that, Tracey! Will keep my fingers crossed that it turns out OK for you guys. My DH was suddenly made redundant (BIG SHOCK as he'd just been promoted!) a week before our first WDW vacation in 1992! I'll never forget how awful it felt but the holiday was a good thing as it gave DH a chance to take stock... Good luck...

As I've said to Tony, its a big 'stitch up'. They are having to reapply for their jobs, except with either more work or less money! There will be some jobs lost, but they might be shunted elsewhere within the college!!
DH's gutted - 22 years (on and above) and for what!
We're trying to be positive.
