We go to Disney every year, just got back in December. I am already planning the next trip, poor DH is a little burned out. So, half jokingly, I suggested dd (3) and I go alone for a couple of days. He says go for it!!:thumbsup2
We would fly, stay on site at a value, already have 2 days worth of tickets left, leave early on a Sunday and come back very late on a Tuesday. So, we would get to Orlando around 9:30 a.m. have all day that day and the next to do a park or two, maybe get an extra day for the last day, or just chill and do DTD and the resorts.

I would love to do this with dd, I think it would be a great idea since the baby is only 9 months and I would rather wait to take him back next year, he can stay and bond with daddy!!;)

Have any of you done a whirlwind trip alone with a child? If we didn't go so often, I would not even consider a trip so fast. Also, I have never been to Disney without a car, how are the busses and Magical express? Do any of you guys book airfare thru the WDW site? It seems awfully expensive thru them.

Sorry so many ??'s. I am just so excited about the possibility of this trip!!

We've done it. My DD had just turned 4. She was a HUGE help. She felt so "grown-up" just being there with Mommy. We went for 5 days. I would recommend it to anyone considering it. It was one of the best trips, catering to her, because it was just the two of us. We still talk about it!!! Actually, we've been talking about doing it again this summer.

I always book the air on my own. I've found some great deals. Also, even when it was just us, we booked a car. I just felt more comfortable with one.

Have fun!!! If you have any questions, you can PM me, or just ask them here....I'll try to remember to check back...lol!

I say go for it:). What a great bonding thing for everyone involved. I would just plan to take a mid day nap break every day that way she gets a nap and will be in a better mood :goodvibes:for you and you also get a break so you don't get over tired either. Bring a good book along and get some quiet time for you too:cloud9:.

I like the ME a lot. You won't have to worry about baggage and getting the rental car and can just get to WDW and start having fun. Just pack anything you will need right away in your carry on, because they say it could take as much as 3 hours to get your luggage. Remember also check-in isn't until 3 so you won't be able to access your room right away when you get there.

Try Air Tran for air fare they have really great prices.

That sounds like fun. I may add a day or 2 more though. You may feel abit rushed. I know you go alot, but still it may seem like you ahve to hurry toget it all in again.

I think you'd have a great time. Girls only time in WDW...absolutely! My daughter, granddaughter, and I are doing just that in Dec. after doing an all-family July trip. I'd say go for it. I'd go into it with very little agenda-just whatever the two of you decide to do. There's plenty to keep you busy on that last day in DTD without having to add a day. Just go at a leisurely pace and treasure that Mommy-daughter time together. I bet you'd have a blast!

I took DS alone for a week last winter. It was a couple weeks after he turned4. I let him have some say in where we stayed and ate and what we did. I think it was probably the best time I had in Disney. It was just a little too long for just the two of us because he started to miss Daddy after 5 days.

I got divorced last year so my WDW trips are just me and my girls. I returned from the December trip (with 6 and 3yo's) and had a wonderful time and can't wait to plan another trip. It went so much better than I expected. I figured prepare for the worst and hope for the best ;) They can't wait to go again too.

I took DME the last couple of trips and that worked out great. This last trip I shipped a box of snacks down so I wouldn't have to pack them and it was in my room when I arrived.

I always get airfare on my own. Much cheaper that way.
