Good Friday/Easter Week discounts EVER exist?

I have no choice but to travel the few days before Good Friday :( going 3/29 - 4/3.

Historically, have there been discounts for holiday week or those are DEFINITELY blackout dates? The winter special ends for stays 3/28. Is it possible they would release another promotion immediately following that date?

My friend just got a pixie code and my travel week is right smack in the black out for her pixie code.... starting to lose hope :(

I have had FD during our Spring Break. From Texas, we have our break 2 weeks prior to Easter.
I just got back from WDW during Thanksgiving week and that was FD, too.
SO, don't give up HOPE.

historically no there are no discounts for the week before and after easter day.

one ends on 3/28 and if there is another it wouldn't start until 4/12ish.

We go at Easter time most every year. I think Disney makes enough money in the parks during that time frame that they feel they don't need to discount the rooms. I say this because the resorts are rarely full during that time frame and each year I think they will offer a deal to fill the rooms, but they don't....

2 Easters ago, I got the AAA discount on my room during Easter week. Not much of a deal, I think maybe 15%.

This last Easter, I got a deal through cheaptickets/Orbitz. It was either 20 or 25% off.

What I will get this next Easter remains to be seen. I'm thinking maybe just the current Orbitz deal of 15%.

If you go for it try code festive10 for 10% off. Best deal for that time thru them is probably on Coronado and CBR.

Wow - thanks for the reminder on this one. Can you (or anyone..) tell me if my conversion is accurate. My UK total is £2,386.38. Are there any hidden fees that will show up on my credit card after the conversion?

If you put your credit card # in like you are going to purchase it on expedia uk ...it will show you what the conversion rate would be below and you can purchase it in USD if you prefer.

The USD total is about $150 higher than the conversion chart I used. I wonder if it's a built-in conversion fee type of thing. I'm going to try typing in different cards and see what I get.

I was reading on a different (long) thread about UK expedia bookings and someone mentioned to keep the booking on the UK rate and total will be slightly lower. Just makes me a bit nervous to click "confirm" without knowing a concrete USD total.

Definitely not blackout dates!! Easter is included in the deal just released today!

Not really. The dates are included in the offer, meaning the discount code can be applied. Several days are at rack though.

Hmmm, I didn't run into that at all with this new 30% Spring deal. I even clicked on reservation details for each resort I checked to be sure every night was discounted. For reference, we are going to WDW the week leading up to and including Easter day (same week every year for us...). Normally that exact week is blacked out by Disney, though we've been happy to book through Cheaptickets in the past to at least get a small deal.

Edit to add: Don't forget to check Orbitz too! They match Disney's discount, plus take another 15% off. I just rebooked through Orbitz because my particular room just popped up with the discount.
