Good deal on a rental?

Can you help me?

We are coming in mid. Dec. and plan to rent a van. Does anyone know any good deals going on rentals? I've been shopping around and can't seem to find one for under $200 a week although I've been able to do that before (this past April in fact).

Appreciate any advice you have

I was messing around with contact #'s etc on the National Rental car site and came up with a combo that cut almost $50.00 off our lowest rate of 197.00 for 6 days in Oct- we got an Intermediate sized car for 147.00 (tax included) with this combo- I sent you a pm with the info- hope it's good for December as well! I got a Sept. 16-23 rental for $141 at National. We have an intermediate, which turned out to be cheaper than the compact we were going to get.

When I tried to get this rate by modifying my reservation, it kept giving me a seriously high rate. So I cancelled the existing reservation and made a completely new one.
